I'm 13 and i'm pretty sure I have a yeast infection. I want to tell my mom I have it and for her to take me to a clinic but everytime I try, it gets all awkward and I end up changing the subject or just telling her "nevermind". It's real embarrassing.

Great book! I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms https://tr.im/NaturalRemedyYeastInfection
Note that:
If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment. If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

first of all, there's nothing to be ashamed of. having a yeast infection doesn't mean you're "not clean" or anything like that. yeast naturally occurs in your body, and once in a while the levels get out of wack and you get a yeast infection. you can get a yeast infection if you're a virgin, or not, if you've been touched by a boy or not, it's got nothing to do with that at all. it's all about having moisture in that area (which of course you do, everyone does). my daughter who is 4 had one once because she wasn't wiping good enough in the bathroom and there was too much moisture in her underwear. just tell your mom that you're feeling uncomfortable and you think it's a yeast infection or something and you want to see the dr. it's no big deal. dr will give you a Rx. some people get them frequently, and after you've seen a dr for it a few times you can treat it yourself with over the counter products. hey, dont worry about it, it's no big deal.

yeast infections dont require a doctors visit. you buy the stuff from the regular store hun. Monastat and such. its in the same asile with all the tampons and pads. you can tell her though you really dont need to. yeast infections are pretty common in all women thats why its all over the counter drugs. but anything to deal with sex or such is going to be embarrassing. at least for now. the more you talk to her about yourself and your first trip to the obgyn and youll find its not a big deal what so ever. remember shes your mother and shes here to help for things exactly like this. she was in your shoes once too. just like the rest of the females of the world. ^_^

Don't be! Most women get Yeast infections ( I am one of the lucky ones and have not yet! And I am 34) and if you don't get it treated It can harm your reporductive system and you may not be able to have kids! Tell your Mom today, and she can take you tomorrow! Remember most of everything will be closed on Tues.
Good Luck!

You need to get to a doctor. If it is a yeast infection, it can be worse. If it's not, it is obviously something. If you can't talk to her, write a note or print this out and hand it to her. She will know enough to take you to a doctor.

It's not going to be embarrassing if you tell her, but it will be embarrassing if you DONT tell her. 'Cause if it so happens you do have an infections, well, that will be embarrassing.

you should be able to tell your mom that without it being awkward. it's normal. you don't have to go to a clinic. just get special cream and stuff at the store.

Are you an AOGG fan too?????

You are talking to your mom. Let her know you got a problem down there. She has more experience (because she is older). She will know the best thing to do as this ailment is as old as the hills.
