Me and my girlfriend have been sexually active for the last year or so, and she has been on birth control since we've started having sex. But last month her birth control ran out and I made the stupid mistake of having sex with her without a condom...the last 3 times.

She has recently complained to me that her stomach had been hurting and some smells have been bothering her. We really think she's pregnant and a baby is the last thing we need considering we're about to go college. She has a bright future in front of her and a baby would ruin that for her, and I cant stand the thought of me ruining that for her. Her parents would kill me and make her break up with me if they were to find out about this, so I want this to be kept under wraps from them if thats possible.

So if anyone could provide me with answer to the question "Can you get an abortion without parents finding out at the age of 17 in the state of Missouri?" it would really help me out and give me piece of mind.

Please don't get an abortion. If you and your girlfriend are not ready to keep the baby, there are many nice people who would love to have a child. Here's an organization that can help: www.itsaboutlove.org.

I don't want to add to your troubles, but abortion is a terrible thing. They say that it is no big deal, but actually it is huge.
For One:
The baby is alive right now- it is an actual human being. Even though it is tiny, it is a real person, with a real purpose. No different from the state you were in at that time in your life.
Depending on how old the child is inside, its heart could be beating, or it could feel pain.
For Two:
The mother, your girlfriend has a very high chance of suffering through the whole procedure. Most of the women who have had abortions are NEVER the same emotionally. Something inside shifts and years later they are still emotionally suffering. Not to mention the effects that it can have on your health- sometimes making it so that a woman never has a regular birth again, or any births, and even sometimes fatal.
For three:
Another alternative is adoption. The baby can live a life, and two other parents will have the joy of a child that they could not have themselves. People pay money to adopt healthy children.

Abortion is killing an innocent life: murder. In the united states if you kill a pregnant woman it is a double homocide- you have taken two lives. Just because the mother finds it inconvenient to have the child does not change the fact that it is murder. I would totally check out the options of adopting. Many people have children out of wedlock, many people can't have children of their own. Perfect match right??

No, in Missouri you cannot have an abortion without parents permission, nor can parents force a child to have an abortion against their will

Take a pregnancy test first to find out if she's even pregnant. And if she is, she's going to need parental permission as she is under the age of 18.

Abortion is not just a simple medical procedure. For many women, it is a life changing event with significant physical, emotional, and spiritual consequences. Most women who struggle with past abortions say that they wish they had been told all of the facts about abortion and its risks. there are many different types of abortion and may of them have different side effects. just make sure you are sure this is what you want to do make sure this is what she wants do.

If you are under 18 years old and want an abortion, one parent must give permission before you can get one. This is called “parental consent.” If that’s not possible, you are able to ask a judge for permission, or get special permission if it’s an emergency. This is called “judicial bypass.”
There is a 24-hour mandatory waiting period in your state before a teen can get an abortion.
Your state does not provide Medicaid coverage for medically necessary abortions. Medicaid can be used to pay for abortions only in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest. If you need help paying for an abortion, call the National Abortion Federation Hotline at 1-800-772-9100, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) or click here. The hotline can tell you where and how to get financial help for an abortion in the U.S.

best of luck i hoped this could help

Not to be rude but it wouldn't really be your choice to have an abortion, its her choice. Missouri
The Law: Requires that one of your parents give permission for your abortion.
Judicial Bypass - Yes. Sorry to say that she can't do it without parental consent. You haven't done a pregnancy test I would recommend that. I think that if she is pregnant that you should be by her side and be there for the baby!!! Take responsibility for your actions!!

please don't kill an innocent baby.
a HUMAN life. a part of you and another person that you love.
that baby is growing. its living. its getting ready to come out and enjoy life. all the baby wants is a chance to live!
there are aternatives!
adoption! open, semi-open, or closed!
a relative could care for it!
i wouldn't want for you and your girlfriend to give up college, but don't kill the baby! there are people, after all, who go through college WITH children just fine.
look. it seems like you are smart. so you know that murdering is wrong.... just PLEASE don't kill the child!
and you have not said anything about her choice yet... is the abortion HER choice, YOURS, or both?
well EITHER WAY ITS WRONG.....

just please don't get an abortion!

if you think about it...
abortin is murder and how dare you take the life of a child if she is pregnant.
PLEASE dont do the abortion.
talk to her parents. give them an apology, also apologize to your girlfriend.
the baby will not ruin her future.
it will delay her education but you can always give the baby to an adoption if you can not raise it in a good society, appropriate attention, and love, then please dont keep it.
give it to a family that will actually want it.
the baby has a future. and god forbid.. what if your parents got and abortion with you.
think about the future of the child.
this is one of the reasons that sex should be saved till marrage.
in my religion[also by the Bible] save yourself for your mate.
youve made a bad desicion but it cant be all bad.
please talk with a doctor, your girlfriend, and both parents. they may be able to help you raise it.
i AM against abortion and it makes my eyes water at the thought of you killing a baby that is innocent because of your desicion.

say NO to abortion.
pleasee!

Hi Zach - In Missouri, the law requires that one of her parents give permission for an abortion.

I'm sure there have been teens who have been crafty in getting around this, however.

Good luck to you... you're in a rough spot. But before you worry yourself to death, tomorrow go to a Dollar Tree and get a $1 pregnancy test so you KNOW one way or another.

I went to College just fine with a baby. You both have Parent's that will help out and love the Baby once they get over the shock. Show them you are grown up by taking responsibility. I would be more angry with my kids if I found out they were planning or actually went through with killing one of my grandkids.
