IUDs are generally only given to women who have already given birth.

You should try going to the local Planned Parenthood which can be found in your phone book. It is unlikely that any responsible caregiver would implant an IUD in any girl who is only 15. IUD's are not without risks and in a young girl who has never had a child can be potentially damaging to her future ability to bear a term pregnancy. Any doctor is going to require a pregnancy test prior to any proceedure so if you are already in a family way , it is too late. At 15 you should be hanging out with your friends and going to school maybe with a job on the side. Not having sex without birth control much less involved in any way. Reevaluate your life as you are headed for trouble.

Most doctors don't want to give an IUD to young girls who haven't given birth yet. Not every girl is a candidate.
If you are asking this because you've just had unprotected sex, you'll have better luck finding a morning-after pill at a pharmacy than an open doctor's office, with a doctor willing to fit a 15-year-old girl with an IUD, on New Year's Eve Day.

IUD?, now comes the horror story I was the mother of two and newly divorced. I had an IUD put in so I wouldn't have to worry about an unwanted pregnancy. 6 mo later I became very ill with serious abominable pain and went to the Dr. I learned I was pregnant and after a C scan the IUD was embedded in the fetus head. I had to wait it out until I had a very painful miscarriage and then several D & C's. Rethink the getting of an IUD. The IUD is no protection from deases either.

It's really best not to mess with that. There is a chance of something going wrong, the IUD slipping, causing internal bleeding, and does have a failure rate. Not to mention it doesn't protect against STDs, and I don't believe the percent of effectiveness they say it has, being so many women have gotten pregnant even though they've properly used birth control devices.
I think planned parenthood and other places have NO BUSINESS in giving out birth control and doing abortions without parental consent. It's not their place to do that. If something should happen like what I mentioned, or what happened to that other lady, not only will you have to tell them about what happened, you'll have to tell them why you were stupidly having sex in the first place. It's best just to abstain and save yourself a WHOLE BUNCH of HEARTACHE.

If you live in England anything like that is free on the NHS and the health staff are strictly forbidden to say anything to your parents without your consent.
If you live in the US the rule about confidentiality is exactly the same but I'm not sure if you have to pay for it or not.

An IUD is for women, not young girls, and if you're going to use it to have unprotected sex then I can tell you what IS for girls - STDs.
