Adolescent - December 2006

the girls at school have decided to make my daughter's life miserable. I contacted the girls parents and it was resolved with one of them but the other girl's mom basically didn't care saying that her daughter has gone through it so it was my daughter's turn ~WHAT!??!!~ any advice would be great.... my daughter came home early from school today and doesn't really want to go back tomorrow.

ok i'm 16 and i want to get my GED so i can get out of school and get a job i still plan on going to college and everything my mom is fine with it as long as i get a job and make plans for it all it so happens i live with my dad and he found out last night because he was evese dropping at my door sad huh? well he is increadably mad my whole family is on my dads side but i just reacently became a part of there family they dont even care they just always have to be right i dont like them and they dont like me i dont get what the big deal is i'm getting my GED which is my high school education i'll just be getting it early and it looks good on an application to have your GED before your 18 how do i explain tis all to my dad so he will understand and not keep ignoring or avoiding me

Okay I'm 12 and there is a school dance that is neither at my school or my bf's school that is coming up, now my bff has known my bf for as long as she can remember and she said that he said he was going to make out with me at the dance and honestly I've only made out with like 5 guys!!! I'm really nervous bcz it would be the first time with him!! What should I do, ANYTHING WILL HELP!!!! And by the way my bf is inthe same grade I am and he's from my old school , 6th grade and quarterback of the younger division of the high school's football team, + not a good thing, his best friend is my x-bf!! My cousin of 17th was cougth at a store stelling while she was with my aunt ,police to her to jail she was consider as an adult, that is not the problem the things that my aunt and uncle don't know what to do she talks back to them, she is a b & c student at school and she doesn't need anyhthing economically my uncle & aunt try to give her free time but they also spend time with her she is the youngest of 3.. My aunt called me to go talk to her she, cuz she cinsiders me like a sis because I lived with them for a couple of years..The problem is she doesn't want to talk with any one not even me, my aunt thinks it migth be a good idea to take to a boot camp, because she talk back, doesn't do shores, or anything at home, not even her room, my aunt and unlce had ground her, take away allowance and she seems not to understand or at least try to behave well I feel bad for her parents.What can be done to help her behave well at least w/ them? I'm Worried & would like to help her!! Any advice?

okay... i was seriously cutting an APPLE, and it slipped and i cut my arm by mistake.
my mom thinks i was cutting MYSELF purposely, and now she doesnt trust me anymore, like when i say i have done my homework, she has 2 go check, and most of the time i have to REDO it because its not PERFECT, but its HOMEWORK, ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PERFECT. but try telling that to her. anyways, she thinks im cutting myslef and IM NOT. is there anyway make it sound truthfull instead of just a good excuse????

My Son is about to hit 13 but is well and truely into puberty!! He has always been a heavy sleeper which might have been cute when he was a tot but now he's a teen its a nightmare getting him up for school. I've tried everything I can think of but chucking water over him or physically pulling him down from a top bunk.
He gets no pocket money that his brother does, he gets detentions from school for being late, I pinch his quilt and take it down stairs, what else is there i can do. He's lucky I don't have to go out to work early and leave him to get himself up or he'd never get to school. Please help.

Me and this guy have been talking for about a month now and things got a little out of control the one night now i might be pregnant.he already has a kid but his babys mom wont let him see his daughter and he has a domestics hearing coming up soon.and i told him last night that i might be pregnant and he said he cant do it again meaning have another kid cuz hes having so many problems rite now and i dont know what to do cuz he said hopefully i dont keep it if i am and if i do he said he will be there for me no matter what cuz its his kid and hes not the type of guy to bail out on a kid.But i dont know what to do cuz im only 17 and hes 21 and he lives wit me too so please help!

everyone hates her, especially her siblings & kids at school. She use to be a happy girl but now she just seems depressed about school, we have tried to seek help at diffrent agency's but they say they will call back and we don't hear fom them (Ontario) she was cutting, but now she has stop that....we show her love & attention and praise her when she does well and accomplish things that can be hard for her....alot of the times she says "I don't care" when she don't get her way, she lies to her friends she also tells them she hates life, what else can i do to help her with this problem? I'm a mom who is at there wits end....and i don't like the systems here, it seems when a child is crying for help, they slam the door in your face

I am taking 11 or my friends (12 counting me) and we are all going to the mall. We will be in groups of 3 of 4. Each group will be given 5$ and a camera and cell phone for each group. I am trying to make a list of ideas that we will have to search for. My 14 year old seems to have a wardrobe that is mainly jeans that are way way too tight for her. However, her friends and peers all seem to dress the exact same way. I am not entirely comfortable with her going to school or the shopping mall dressed like this, but usually her Mom and I have tried to not fight with her about her jeans, I am sure things could be much worse. Overall, she's a sweet kid, a little rebellious, has a poor memory for curfews, with a feisty smart alecky mouth and some drama queen tendencies, but still a good hearted kid, so I figure it's best not to fight with her about clothes.

Do other people feel the same way? do you confront your daughters about this kind of clothing? is it worth it? at what age should your daughter start paying for her own clothes if she chooses to dress like this? I am happy to clothe her, but I feel funny about paying for her to dress in jeans that look like they would split down the seams if she were to lean over and tie her shoes
