Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 September 2007

OK well I believe we have a good chance this month...had sex at all the right times and today I saw my temperature spike....but I was wondering if any of you had any tips for what I can to do to help ensure implantation? I hope that doesnt sound silly but I figured anything I can do I will try it! Any herbs or food or drinks? Anything I should avoid? How about exercise...will that be detrimental? Thanks ladies!!

Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday? I managed to catch half of it after work. They (Jenny McCarthy and Holly Robinson Peete) were discussing vaccinations and the link to Autism (although the medical board says there is no clear link). I'm almost scared to give my son his next round of vaccinations, but then realize that I had my vaccinations as a child and am fine. The name of the chemical began with a "T".

It's so scary since Autism is on the rise....how did you know you were making the right decision to vaccinate or not to vaccinate your child?

I Took an E.P.t digital yesterday morning and it said "Pregnant" with first morning urine. The 3 I took that night said "Not pregnant" evening urine.. I took one again this morning "Not pregnant" what am I supposed to belive is there such thing on Digetals lying???

It's not a baby until it's born it's only a foetus.I know women that have refered to the foetus as a baby from a very early stage.When I found out I was pregnant I never called it a "baby". It wasn't a baby to me

I'm probably living in ignorance, but I always assumed that weaning was a reality easy thing to do - you start to give a baby foods, they eat it and they gradually take more and have a more varied diet!

Ever since my 13 month old son has been on whole milk (only been a month now) EVERY poopy diaper is a soft mustard yellow color. Not loose and watery like diarreah, just really soft and STINKY!
The softness of it, and the amount (has about 4 of these a day) has caused his bum to become pretty tender.

Is it just the whole milk that is causing this since it's only started since being on the milk? Could he be allergic to the milk?

My son is coming up 10 weeks old. For the last week, after feeding him and winding him it looks like he is gagging, most of the time he is bringing up some milk but other times it looks like he is bringing his milk up and then swallowing it again.
I have spoken to health visitor and GP and they say its just what some babies do.
I am going back to doctors tomorrow as I think there is more to it.
Any advice from mothers whose babies have got reflux would be greatly appreciated.

i got beat up at school yesterday
and i really do not wanna go back

because i basically got beat up for no reason
and it was all planned out

the girl that had beaten me up had been coming down off meth apaarently

and shes not in ANY trouble what so ever

so i was just wondering . should i go back ? is there any other alternatives to public school that would be better

because at this point i actually do not plan on going back

Hi, we're having a baby in April and I'm looking for a boys name. I want something that has to do with nature. Our son's name is River and if we have a girl her name will be Willow. I don't like the names Hunter and Stone.

its 101. or higher, but they said she could stay 4 a lil bit if I went and checked in with my job and then came back to get her in a hr or so, so I went outside and called my boss and she was mad saying she didnt have anyone 2 cover my spot and in the background she told the "bigger" boss and he said I don't wanna hear that sh*t, if she wants her job she'll be here. I want my job but my kids health is more important, so I said ok and hung..got my baby and went home and now Im wainting 4 the drs office 2 open... Is there anything I can do about this I understand jobs need a notice 4 time off but this was obviously an emergency and my child is sick..... would I b able 2 get unemployment, I no they would fight is but I could try.. I've been working at the same place for 2 and half years and rarely call in, I just think there ridiculous!!!!!

I am 14.5 weeks pregnant and I am thinking about changing doctors for my pregnancy becuase I am not happy with where I am going. Not only do they not have the birthing expierence I want I have found the staff to care more about getting you in and out of there in 5 minnutes to get more money and more of a turnover than to actually sit down and CARE about their paitents.

Wh at can I expect at my first prenatal visit with a new OB.. since I will be going to different hospitals do I have to go through all of that testing again, and proding in my hoo-ha, or what will they generally do?

i started my last menstrual cycle aug 9 it last till the 13.Ive been kind of nerves due to the fact it is sept 19 and i still havent started my cycle.My breast are very tender and im having abd pain such as pulling and it hurts so bad that i just sit still and hope it goes away.what do you think?
