Pregnancy & Parenting - 3 September 2007

I share custody of my 2 month old son. Recently his mother started feeding him baby food peaches. From what I read this is way too early and fruit should not be a first food. So when I have him I give him formula only. She gives me a written schedule of what and when he should eat and wants me to write down what I've fed him. Any suggestions for how to deal with this?

her life is her friends who are all under 21, she is 23. she doesn't bathe her daughter daily, rarely combs her hair, and almost never brushes her teeth. she has already had to get teeth pulled, capped, and filled and she is only 3. she doesn't work, so she gets food stamps and has to pay nothing for rent. instead of buying food with the food stamps she trades them for other things. she keeps her daughter up all hours, doesn't put her in a car seat, yells at her all the time. once when i asked her what was more important her car or her daughter she said her car! everytime we try to tell her she needs to grow up and get her priorities straight, she storms out and doesn't listen. i don't want to call child services because i know she could be a good mother. i just don't know what to do to make her realize that her child isn't in a healthy situation right now. she needs structure and a happy secure home. what can we do? she doesn't think she is doing anything wrong. please help!

Okay so we are 12 weeks pregnant and my husband and i are already arguing about names. For a girl i like
Myeisha(my-ee-ss-a) which means "one whis greatly loved" and is an african name, and for a boy i like Luchian. My husband thinks that because we are "white" we should give our child a white name and i believe there is nothing wrong with adding ethnicity to a name no matter what color you are.
And they both think that Luchian is a reference to the devil but everything i have looked up says otherwise.
Am i wrong for wanting ethnicity in our babies name? Is there really a such thing as a white name?
Lastly do you think these names are too outrageous?

We are having our ultrasound in October, and we've been trying to start our list off with some names, but are finding it hard, because a lot of web pages offer a lot of names I can't even pronounce, let alone think of naming our child that! Just curious,, been looking at alot of things related to these cups and so forth.... was just wondering. if the liquid is just sitting in this cup inside you,. say for instance (might be a really dumb ?but oh well) you are sleeping or are not upright wouldn't the blood try to go back up past your cervix since it's not being absorbed or escaping the body? Any other input on these cups would be appreciated as well.
just learned about these today and my periods are long and heavy so would like to try something new to see if it would help.

I am in huge trouble with my parents, except they havent exactly said anything yet about specifics. They took away my cell phone, however are still letting me go to a concert in about four days.

all right me and my boyfriend had sex 3 times

ok my due date is on november 28. when i look it up on epregnancy or I-am-pregnant.com it tells me i am 27 weeks and 7 days today, so does that mean im 28 weeks tomorrow? i thought since i was due on a wedsnday that thats when i change weeks. so....... whats the deal???

oh i also have another question my throat and my ears itch soo damn bad!!!! its been going on for a couple days. why does it itch and how do i get some relief!!

So I know this is the pregnancy category, but this seemed like the best place to post this. I've been taking the depo provera shot now for I think about 5 years, with no problem, but I hear that it takes some time after you stop taking it to become fertile again. My husband and I have decided to start trying to conceive in about 1 1/2 years. Should I stop taking the shot now? If I do, what would you suggest as an alternative? (And no condoms, we hate that.)

could i possibly be pregnant?
okay so lets make a long story short, my boy friend fingered me the week after my period, now i have been feeling breast soreness( it comes and goes), really tired. and idk I'm kinda nauseous, but i think its just cause I'm so scared, and I'm only nauseous when i think about it really. he could have had pre- come on his hands so idk. i'm really freaked. so please do you think i am? my friend thinks im like making it in my head.

I have 2 daughters already and both their names end in the "Y" sound. I would like to continue the tradition.
I already came up with a boy's name that I love but, I am having a hard time with a girl's name.
To clear up any misunderstandings, I would like names for girls ending in the "Y" "I" or "IE" sound. Examples are: Holly, Lori, Melanie.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

OK..so my daughter is 4 and knows very well how to clean her room when "she" wants...but the problem is we can spend 5 hours cleaning it and then an hour later her and her friends have completely trashed the place..i've done everything from baging toys up, threatning to throw stuff away, buying rubbermaid containers and labeling drawers for stuff, rewarding..nothing seems to work to get her to keep her room clean. Any suggestions??

Yes, my 15th million question on this but im away from home and cant take a test. I have been late before, almost a month but not with random spotting. I have terrible cramps like im going to get it and never do. I got really tiny red spots over the past few days and last night it was a good amount (only when i go up there to check) i have been really stressed with moving and vacations and planes and such and then i thought i was late late last week but i miscalculated so that added to it. is spotting during when you should have your period a sign of pregnancy? or is this just a slow moving thing and im screwed up this month?
