I would like to know where you read/heared this. Generilizations of whole cultures is what causes prejudices and hate. This can lead to wars and killing of whole cultures (remember nazi concentration camps?)
I have 3 neices and 2 nephews, none of which are medicated. Two however have been diagnosed with ADHD, but my sister decided that drugs were not the way her family wanted to go. They are restricted in cafine and red dye in certain foods (not sure why but it aparently is the most sugary and causes some of the behavior). My sister is the most patient parent that I know! Yes I do feel that some families tend to medicate their children just becuase, but this happens in every country and not just America. So explain your source and see if it is bias when you read it again...
I was once told about a race in my history class, the two countries were racing new tecnology. The country that lost said "Our country and America were in a race recently, we came in second while the Americans came in second to last." The thing that the article didn't metion was there were only two cars in the race...Propoganda. Every country is guilty of it. I'm sorry that you seem so stuck in your hate and dislike for America that you don't take into acount the generalization of saying "Americans give your children pills before you go out with them so they would be quiet." I hope you will realize some day that doing so not only hurts you but your children perspective on life. Mabey it is you who doesn't deserve children...

Uh, ok....first off, I live in America and take offense to this because I don't know anyone who does this at all....please leave your generalizations in your own country or post proof of where you read this! Seriously! Don't deserve children! What do you think America does?? HAVE YOU EVEN BEEN HERE BEFORE?? We aren't insane! So don't hate us all from one article you read on someone else that just happens to be "not all there" and lives here in America and does that to their kids....I don't go assuming things about YOUR country, I'd appreciate the same from you!

"mominohio"- Yeah, well if the doctors are giving the kids the medicines after parents have taken them to be tested then there's obviously something wrong enough that they need them. I trust that the doctors know quite a bit more than you would about children & their disabilities. Biased much?

Please tell me more of this. I do not do this and I am an American, but I have seen allot of quiet children and I get a little jealous mine is so active and loud.I ask why and my grandma says it is because she is smart. So any way I would never do that to my kids, but I am so interested as to how you know this and why are they doing this and how.If you could give more detail I would like to read it .It would make me feel so much better as to why I see babies and kids just sitting there like with a duh...... look on their face.Poor kids.I feel sorry.

Yeah it is getting a little overboard anymore with the meds for children to make them behave, i totally agree. I understand meds for bipolar, autism and things of that nature but a lot more parents are taking their kids for testing for ADHD just to get them meds to calm them down, or they give them stuff like benadryl to calm them down.
