I've heard people say its a cute and fun way to make a name "unique".......oh please naming your kid Maddison for ex. is not going to stand out in a sea of Madisons, its only going to seem like you can't spell or its a typo. Also whats up with the dreaded "Mc" in front of a name I always see, are you naming your child after McDonalds? Ok now finally whats up with backwards spellings? Nevaeh is the big one I see, but seriously its gets annoying hearing "This is my daughter Nevaeh, you know like Heaven spelled backwards! How original right?"....Isn't Heaven backwards Hell? Just because I think its a cute idea doesn't mean I going to name my child "Treah"(heart) or"Legna" (angel)............*phew* thats feels better to get that off my chest, ok rants over.

Charlotte Marilyn (Marilyn is my grandma's middle name)
Isabella Rose (Rose is my middle name and my mom's name is Rosemary)

after much brainstroming, we have FINALLY come up with a way to honor both of our mother's if we have a girl!!

Our oldest son is named after both of his grandfathers and we wanted to do the same for our oldest daughter. We have finally come up with a combination of their two names (Janette and Doreen) for our daughter's middle name...it will be Janeen (which means God is gracious) :)

if you don't know the situation, please go read my 2 previous questions about my little brother (Jacob, age 4). but if you do, i don't know how to ask my parents about adopting him. do i just walk up to one of them and say "will you adopt Jake?", or do i say "you know what i was thinking, Jacob would ft in perfectly with our family", should i sit them down with none of my brothers and sisters around (which would be hard to do considering how many there are), or do i just go to one of them. i really want to know if their already considering taking him in, or what's going on, and i want them to go down to that children's home and take my little brother by the hand and say"your coming home with us" (and i know it's not that easy, i've been through the whole foster care/adoption thingy). but how do i ask them? should it be casual,or all serious like. what do i do? and please go read my other 2 questions if you don't know what's going on (both have something about Jacob in them). thanks!!!!

I'm due Aug. 14th, was due the 10th but the dr. doing the c-sec. moved it back.. but anyway.. He said they do the c-section 10 days before my due date.. and they don't do c-sections on the weekends, so do they include weekends in the 10 day period or not?

Hi everyone,

Now that AF is out of the way, I'm looking toward plotting ovulation and fertile days. I plan to use my OPK (Clear Blue Easy) likely tomorrow which would be Day 10 of my cycle, since lmp was June 28, and before that, May 29.

I also plan to monitor CM, too.

Any advice/thoughts on my likely fertile time? My periods come, generally, every 28-31 days.

Im on the 21st day of my cycle and this morning when I went to the bathroom a had a tinge of blood mixed with eggwhite fluid.. what could this be? implantation bleeding? My periods are irregular so i do not know when i ovulated, i wore a pad just incase but there was nothing at all throughout the day.. some help would be much appreciated.. thanks in advance x

We would love to take my daughter, who is 23 months, to the beach this summer. The problem is she's a preemie and has a fear of anything grainy. It's been four months since we've tried sand and she wants me to lift her over it to get to the swings at the park and won't even go down the slide in fear of landing in the sand. We've been evaluated by an occupational therapist and she recommended "brushing therapy." Does this really work? Do you have any ideas?

I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant and this has been happening a lot lately. I am going through a HIGH RISK pregnancy right now and am trying to take care of myself the best way possible (eating enough, drinking tons of water/fluids, taking vitamins, ect which I always do on a daily basis.) But even though I do those things, I get dizzy whenever I stand for more than around thirty minutes at a time. If I do stand for more than that, the dizziness is so bad that my legs feel as though they are about to give out on me and the dizziness gets so bad that I feel like I'm going to vomit. I'm making an appointment with my doc for next week, but does anyone have any advice right now for me other than "stay off your feet"? What could be causing this? Have any of you been through this too? I feel so alone here. Please help.

I have a 3 yr. daughter and I'm not pregnant again yet, but when/if we have a boy, his name will be Elliot (my favorite boy's name since forever). What middle names do you like with Elliot? My only criteria is that the middle name must contain the letter "n". (Don't ask...) The last name starts with "S" and is 2 syllables.

My son used to love the water. At age 12 mo he was swimming completely on his own under water. At the beginning of summer he got knocked in unexpectedly into the pool. I grabbed him out right away and he held his breath just fine, but it must have scared him b/c since then he seems terrified of the pool. He's 21 mo old now. When I say Jonny wanna go swimming he screams and says no no no mama. We go and he eases himself in and usually has a good time but he's much more timid than he used to be. he wont go under anymore and he wont do the baby slides anymore. is there anything I can do to help him overcome this? right now I am just kinda giving him his space and letting him do what he wants when he's ready/
