Crest toothpaste, the red stuff. Put a little on your pinkie fingernail and swallow it. Your hick-ups should be gone almost immediately. And a for the motion sickness, crackers work wonders.
COUNTING? If you have a long flight, you'll reach a million before you land. I don't think that's a good idea. Look out the window and watch every move the plane makes. Motion sickness occurs when things are moving around you and you are disconnected from the action. Back seat riding causes sickness because your view is greatly restricted. Realize that when the plane goes into a turn that one side dips down while the other side rises. If your brain is in contact with the sensations you're feeling then you won't get sick. All senses have to be in sync. If you're turning left but you feel like your turning right while your eyes tell you something confusing, the brain takes it out on the stomach.
Have a safe and good trip.

There's many types of medicines to help with the motion sickness over the counter.
For the hiccups, there is a very simple cure. If you have someone to help you, that is easiest. Get a large glass of water. Have someone stand behind you and plug your ears, while you drink the entire glass of water. It works!
If you are alone, you'll need a straw to drink the water while you plug your own ears.
Sounds strange, I know. But it has worked for everyone I've known. Hiccups occur from some type of air pockets and I've been told the ear plugging and water gets rid of those air bubbles. Either way, it works!
Hope this helps and good luck!

Hiccups - firmly press the heel of your hand to your forehead just above your eyebrows. and hold there for 30-60 seconds.
Or
Make a fist and then extend the index finger on each hand. Point the fingers towards each other and slowly move them closer and closer together. Once they're so close they're just about touching, hold them there. Focus on keeping them as close together as possible without them touching.
Motion sickness - ginger, or ginger ale, will help settle your stomach. Try to focus on one point and not look around too much. Or keep your eyes closed as much as possible. Focus on your breathing. Count to yourself BUT skip every third number (1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, etc) You'll be focusing so much on counting properly that you won't even notice you're sick.
Good luck!

Don't know about the motion sickness, but for hiccups, you can take a DEEP breath and hold it in, and count to 10 slowly.
I get hiccups everytime I get drunk and this method always gets rid of them.

I use Dramamine for the sickness, but if you are pregnant you cant use that. There is really no cure for hiccups. Some people get them for years and nothing works.
