My son likes it. We have the Mozart and Bach music dvds. When he was a couple of months old, I'd sit there with him and make different reactions along with the video (Like saying that's 'red' or that's 'fast'). I tried to 'define' the things he was seeing (simply!) so that he could get more out of it. Now, at 10 months, he won't sit still for it.

I recently got the Baby Signs dvd and I sit down with him on that one, too. I sit him in my lap and I'll do the sign or I'll make his hands do the sign and say the word along with the dvd.

I try to not use it as a 'babysitter', but sometimes baby einstein + bouncy seat or playpen = dinner getting done. But only for 30 minutes. :-)

My baby loves all his baby einstein stuff. He has loved it since he was little like that too. He will be six months old next week. Keep giving him stimulating toys =)

OHHHH you mean the videos? Sorry I thought you meant the baby einstein toys. I don't know anything about the videos as we don't have him watch tv yet....I mean he glances at cartoons a lot but we try to stick with toys at this age.

Baby McDonald is great!!! My 2 year old loves it! We also like Baby Mozart, Baby Shakepeare, and Baby Dolittle.

A few of them are just so so, though. Didn't like Baby Einstein (Language one). And weren't interested in some of the newer ones that are out now.

He loved them, and now all he wants is little Einsteins. When he sees the baby videos, he says he watches the big boy movies of those.

until this day (almost 2 yrs old) my child LOVES them and has loved them since about 6-7 weeks like yours. Especially ones that feature puppets a lot. My sister gave me a set of 9 DVDs and they are absolutely the best thing for a new mom besides a baby bjorn.

omg when my son was that age it was the only thing that would make him stop crying. and if it ended he would start screaming at the top of his lungs. But my other son never cared for it. I love anything that can get my son to sit down and be happy for a few minutes, he is now 2 years old. so nothing seems to keep him busy for long, unless he isn't allowed to do it then he is totally focused. got to love 2 years olds.... lol

We have the toys, and the videos, but I never have actually watched the videos. I am trying really hard to go by the no TV until 2 recommendation.
As far as the toys my daughter loves them we have the bouncy, exersaucer, and multiple rattles and the soft blocks! They are great!

I had the excellent container set of the infant Einstein movies. i think of the two are a crock. in basic terms spending time which incorporate your newborn, examining, repetition, and image books can practice your infant to appreciate language in basic terms as rapid as any of those classes that cost you an arm and a leg to purchase into their "shown" approaches.
