Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 February 2007

My bf and I had sex on the 7th 8th and 9th then on the 14th and 15th I came on my period on the 17th. It was heavy and just blood for three days. Then it stopped, then the next day it started again. Oh and on the 12th I took a EPT and it came back negative but what is up with my period. I have no stress and am always happy. Could I be pregnant? PLS Help. Thanks in advance.

My 2 month old daughter will be happy and cooing and then for no apparent reason scream like she is in pain. It is killing me when she does this.
She is a breast fed baby that has started to fuss more lately. She also seems to be more needy, she will get upset after a few minutes of not being held. I am trying to reasearch but any help is appreciated. I cannot see any blood in the stool and the stool is yellow to greenish (appears to be normal).

my son gained 3 1/2 lbs in one month because he was drinking so many bottles, so at 8 week check his doc put him on rice cereal 3 times a day. for awhile it made him happy now he wants nothing to do with a plain formula bottle. not only does he fight me when im trying to give it to him, but half way through it he throws it up. i never had this problem befor. what is going on?

I'm 38 yrs old and 15 weeks into my 4th pregnancy. My midwife doesnt want to see me until I have had my 20 week scan. I thought because of my age, I would have been seen earlier? I even had to make my own appointment at the hospital for my bloods doing. The hospital were surprised I havent already had them done.

I know you are not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy unless you get hit hard with morning sickness. I am losing weight and haven't really been sick. My portions have changed I can only eat half of my plate where I used to could eat all of my seconds. I am not trying to do this on purpose I just get full way faster. I am really concerened I am not gaining like I am supposed to. Its like I have changed my eating habits for the better but not really by purpose and now I am losing weight. What do you think? I am only 14 weeks pregnant.

ok i have my first drs appointment today i am about 12 weeks if calculated right...what all will they do to me? this is my first child and first everything with a gyno dr...im freaking out especially because i am going to be by myself...i was wondering how come my belly isn't starting to get hard in the lower area...shouldn't i feel it by now?

Has anyone seen a baby board learning activity center? I've seen the playmats and bouncers. Buy I'm sort of thinking of the old fisher price play center board where babies manipulated buttons and other objects and it also included a mirror. Are there any modern versions? I have taken care of my daughter since she was 1month old she is now 8 months. Her biological mother had no part in her life but i occasionally talked to her because we are related. My husband and I are in the process of adopting her.She told me who the father was but he is into drugs and stuff and so is she. Shayna was born with withdrawls. I have recently heard that she is getting money from the father for Shayna, I have not received any money from her at all. Now the father wants to see Shayna and I don't know what to do. table foods? I'm not talking about steaks, but stuff that will be easy for her to eat, like mashed taters and gravy. What about baby cereal? She's taking almost a whole bottle of formula, and it isn't satisfying her at all. And please don't tell me to talk to her pediatrician. All he'll say is wait until she's 4 months old. The second article made me rethink and relax a little, autism connect pitocin and pretzels, but ended linking me to an even scarier discovery. Chlorobutanol is the substance used for euthanization. It is also one of the main ingredients in Pitocin. That's a fact. There is actual lawsuits taking place becasue of the use of this dangerous chemical. It is also found in epidurals. Ok last week was my 28th week gluclose test the nurse before the test asked if I had diabeties and I said I hope not and she was like well the last few times you've had sugar in your urine and they said it could be normal so I did the nasty drink and was sent to the lab but they sent me with my urine and this is the first time ever that was done with me and I have always went there I also have been having high blood pressure the last few times and I'm already high risk as it is unfortunatly they were closed yesterday and today so I have no answers so should I be worried more than I already am I know how doctors can be very secretive until they know but it drives me crazy so any help or experience would help

HI am European and i am not familiar with FDA inspection of food for infants in USA. I am concerned because my infant wants ONLY non organic Gerber meat jar food: Turkey Rice, Chicken in Gravy, Vegetable Chicken, Chicken noodle... only those few jars.

From Organic jars he is forcefully vormitting.... I have no idea why.

I still a lot breast feed him so i know he is getting all nutritions from there but daily he gets about 2 - 3 jars of Gerber named above. I am concerned about hormones, antibiotics and pesticides in this food. Isn't that FDA (or other org) tested and approved as it is in Europe?

My baby is spitting as well home cooked food. He is almost 11 months and he is such a way. Can't eat solids too much, immediatly vormitts. he is great size, got teeth late at 9 months, very alive and healthy baby... Should i be concerned about Gerber meat products?

I by myself usually prefer organic food... but my baby does't yet... Please advise. Thank you and have a great day!

What is the consensus on piercing the ears of a baby girl?


I was just curious cause I think it is tantamount to child abuse.
You've just poked holes in the ears of a person who is either unwilling or can not give permission to do so. If you did the same to any other person you would be charged with assault and battery.

asked twice before. but not getting a lot of responses.
please answer my question.

on Yaz. periods supposed to be 4 days. last one came 3 days late.
have unprotected sex with boyfriend multiple times.
two weeks after last period started spotting, light red bleeding enough for a tampon but then it turns brown, sometimes just very light brown bleeding. lasted for about a week.
i'm due to start my period this week and the spotting stopped.
i've missed many pills this month so spotting could be from that, or it could be implantation?
i have to pee a lot more, i wake up in th enight and from naps needing to. heavy swollen breasts, tender. headaches. flutterings in stomach, sharp pains in lower abdomen. light cramping while i was spotting.

period due to come tomorrow. if it doesn't is it too soon to take a test?
is it possible i'm pregnant?

PLEASE ANSWER.

Don't I have the right to say that the OW SHOULD NOT SPEND THE NIGHT with my husband when my kids are with him
My lawyer is filing papers to stop this. This will include ski trips or anything where they can get the impression that this activity is OK. People are saying that what they do with him is up to him even though apparently the courts don't think so. I am tempted to remove custody from him all together.

We are not divorced or even legally separated.

By the way, I am dating someone. This is not about whether my H sticks it in a woman, man or horse. I don't want my kids in that environment.

My bf is not spending the night. Thank you.
Addendum:
My lawyer just called to say that the judge signed the order first thing this morning. Guess the courts can dictate, huh?

He is usually is such a happy boy. His demeanor has completely changed. He's become extremely clingy and irritable. He refuses to eat lunch. So far the only thing I have been able to get him to eat is fruit and sweet pot. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already made an appointment for today, we couldn't get in because of the long weekend. But just curious as to what other parents have to say about this.
