They are going to check for both preeclampsia (which you can tell from urine) and diabetes. Try not to stress. There is nothing you can do about how your body reacts to the pregnancy. The only thing you can change is how you react. I am high risk for pre term labor and preelampsia and I try not to get too upset. Take it a minute at a time if you have to. You will have your results very soon. Good luck!

I remember when I went to the doctors once for one of my monthly check ups the nurse asked me what I ate and I asked why. She said well you have a lot of sugar in your urine. I had pancakes with syrup and OJ (which is a lot of sugar) It has nothing to do with whether you are diabetic though. I did my glucose test about a month ago and it came out perfectly normal. Hopefully you didnt eat a lot of sugar before your glucose test thought bc that can affect it. They say you are supposed to not eat for however long before the test, but my doctor said you dont have to not eat just dont eat junk! If the test comes back a little elevated they will just have you take the 3 hour test (which also happened to me my last pregnancy.) And still I was fine. Well I hope that calms your worries a little. Good luck to you!

Worrying does not help. It is not good for you or the baby. It also does not help with your blood pressure. Call the Dr today and see if you can get answers. If not then it just simply means that they have not received them. One or two days more is not going to make that much difference.
Try to stay as calm as you can. Remember...even if you have high blood sugar...you are not the first one. There are many women that have had it and the Dr know how to proceed with your care in these situations.

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes in my pregnancy and have been able to control it with diet. So if something does happened and that's what you have it is not that bad, it helps you maintain your weight or even lose weight during your pregnancy if you diet and exercise. I'm currently overdue and the baby is still normal size. If you don't maintain a good diet and have it your baby can be big, have low blood sugars when born or have jaundice.

Get lots of rest and drink lots of water, wait untill your doctor is open hopefully today and schedule an appointment. Your high bloos pressure could be from stress. Try to do something realxing for your self. OK! Good luck.

i don't know why they would send you to the lab with your urine sample, i have never heard of this before. if you were doing the blood test, it wouldn't matter how your urine test came out anyway. don't be overly concerned about it. even if you do have gestational diabetes, it's not that big of a deal.

Firstly, please learn to use periods. This was VERY hard to understand.
They do sometimes send you to the lab to test your urine because the dipstick in the office is very subjective. The lab can see exactly how much glucose is in your urine.
Don't panic yourself, they will let you know in the right time.
it's not about secrecy...that's silly to say. Doctors don't say until they know because before that they DIDN'T know.
