You will most likely have an internal, and if they have an in-house U/S machine, you will have one of them as well.......Then you will get prenatals and all that happy new Mom package and then be scheduled in 4weeks to come back...........Most likely if they don't have an u/s machine in house they will schedule you for that espec if you don't know your exact date of conception!

Your first with a obgyn? Well, alright you've got yourself coming up to some major first times here.
First off, you'll be at the docs office this time around for awhile, keep that in mind.
They will start you off with medical history, go into weight, probably takea urine sample.
You'll be getting your first pamp smear, which may feel uncomfotable, but it doesn't last long. They'll be doing alot of feeling though since your pregnant and of course you've never been to the docs before. Just to get an idea of where things are laying out, pelvic bone, cervic. Thhis won't last very long a couple minutes. You may get (depending on their office) a Ultrasound, usually if they can do this in the office they do so they can get an idea of how far along you are, and how things are starting off. Some offices don't do this, some do, and there's nothing to stress about with this either. It looks like a small mic almost fits in the hand, they roll it around on your belly so see the fetus and everything else. No biggie. Or if they do it internally, it looks like a long thin mic, it's not that uncomfortable, but it's not the best thing I'd sign up for. This way they'd be getting a better look and be able to detirmine the time line. (same thing with the regular ultrasound, estimating due dates, remember estimate!) Again it depends on the office, they may send you out to a radiology office for this to be done. No biggie.
If they do blood work in that office, you may or may not have that done this time around. More than likely they will have you sent to a lab (if they don't do work in the office) or they will make another appointment to do the blood tests. It's not that big of a deal, they take alot of blood, and your done.
On each visit you will be giving a urnine sample, blood pressure, and weight, this will contuine each and everytime you go to the office from now on. They will start listening to the baby's heart beat, some as early as 14 weeks, others do wait till about 16. It really does depend on your doctor and what their offices are like. But the first visit is the biggest, and the longest. You'll also be getting a prenatal vitamin, but that's nothing at all.
Ask as many questions as you can, even if it sound silly, that's what the doctor is there for. So write a list of things you want to know, or things you simple are afraid to ask, this way you have it to look at when your there.
And about the showing, some people don't show until later, the belly doesn't always get so hard in the begining, not for some anyways, so don't get worried that you don't feel anything yet, its your first baby. In several weeks, around 17-21weeks you will feel that first flutter, and you still may not be showing much at all.
Eat healthy, whatever you eat is fueling your body, the baby takes everything they need from you whether you have it or not. So whatever your eating is replenishing what baby is taking out. Take your vitamin, eat more veggies and fruit, and relax. You've got a ways to go, and your "firsts" will be huge milestones each month, and even after baby is born.
Good Luck, and Congrats!
Don't stress about going alone, we've all gone through this, your are not alone! Good luck again!

At 12 weeks many people don't even know they are pregnant, your doing fine, you will start feeling pregnant soon enough!
You doctor will do some blood work, testing you for blood type, std's, hormone levels, and other routine tests. He may do an internal exam, checking your uterus, pelvic size and shape, and the condition of your cervix. He may also do a pap smear making sure everything is okay there as well.
He will give you prenatal vitamins, and calculate your due date.
Talk about diet and weight gain....expect a long wait if you are using a military doc!! lots of pregnant females in the military, and active duty comes before spouses!
Don't worry, take along a copy of what to expect when your expecting, and settle in you should also try and meet someone who is pregnant, and due about the same time you are, it will give you someone to talk to, and a buddy to hook up with if for some reason your husband is deployed during pregnancy..or can't make it to the delivery...
Thankfully the military has gotten much better about making sure a spouse is there for the delevery@!

Well it really won't matter how far along you are, if this is your first appointment you will get all of the "testing" stuff out of the way! And don't worry about being by yourself because this is not really an appointmetn your husband would enjoy coming to anyway :- ) They will more than likely give you a papsmear, a vaginal ultrasound to confirm pregnancy and how far along you are, they will draw a million things of blood :- ) and send it out for all of your tests, you will fill out paper work about your and your husbands medical/family history (so be sure you are aware of your husbands info) and you will meet with your doctors and they will answer any questions or concerns you may have!

They take a urine sample, your weight and BP, they will do a pap smear (they use a metal thing to open your vagina wide enough to stick a cottom swab in and touch your cervix with it. IT DOESNT HURT, its just unpleasant), and then an internal pelvix exam in most cases. This is just the OB feeling with two fingers inside your birth canal, and a hand on your belly. She can feel the size and position of the uterus by that.
And they will probably take, or send you to the lab, for an OB blood draw.
Thats it!
Nothing painful, nothing too exciting. In a few weeks you'll have an ultrasound. They might try to use the doppler to hear the heart beat.

They will get a urine sample, a pap smear, feel your cervix internally and feel your uterus at the same time. Then they will most likely give you your labs to have your blood drawn. Make sure you ask to hear the heart beat if they don't do it. I am 14 weeks and my lower abdomen is just now starting to get a little hard. Don't worry let your doctor know you are worried and they can releive your fears.
