Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 January 2007

I went to the emergency room yesterday because I am four weeks pregnant and I was having heavy bleeding and cramps. I was told that I was having a miscarriage but today I started having constant shoulder pain, as if I am getting stabbed. Could it be that I am having an ectopic pregnancy instead? Or is that a symptom of miscarriage also?

baby to open it?
I would like to get a dresser for my baby's room, but I feel that it will be a PAIN for me to open the drawers if they have that "lock" ( I can't think of the real name for them... that thing that won't let the child roll the drawer open...)
Is it hard for an adult to open the drawer if it's "baby proofed"?

Our little man is very stubborn.
Spanking won't work...he still wears a diaper.
Time outs and ignoring his attitude just make him throw a bigger tantrum.

is it possible to hear the babies heartbeat in your stomach at only 19 weeks? friends tell me you can and so do some sites....but others say no its impossible im confused and dont know wut to think......i tried it and heard a heart beat type thing....could it be sumthin else if its not my babies? also when does your stomach usually start to harden? no smartas* comments plez...ty in advance

I have already asked a question like this, but now I am totally confused. I have taken a pt when I was only 2 days late and it came out negative. At first I had period cramps but now it feels like butterflies in my belly. Still obviously haven't gotten my period, when should I test again? I am always on time. They sit at the computers and jibber jabber with their "outdoor" voices until you can't hear yourself think. I keep hoping the Library staff will come over and shush them, but that never happens. At the same time, I'm glad they're in the library where they're safe and supervised and wouldn't want anything to discourage them from coming. And hopefully besides logging into music videos they're sometimes learning something valuable (besides who is going with who and who likes who). What do you think?

I have a doctors appointment for next week, but I was wondering what the possiblity of me being pregnant might be? I had my period on the fifteenth of december. According to calculations, I should have ovulated sometime around the twenty nineth of december. I had unprotected sexual intercourse several times during this period. This month, my period never came and my breasts have been sore, almost like they are growing ( I never really had this kind of problem with my period, so it was a shock to feel the pain). I've also felt a bit more tired (I'm a full time college student with a full time job, but I haven't felt this tired in a long time). Also, I've been getting frequent headaches and it seems that I have the urge to urniate more often.
If I am pregnant...how far along might I be?

How come it seems like now you get more benefits for teenagers getting pregnant tan to go to college. I am a freshman in college I have no kids and I live on my own. I have college loans out of the ***, I pay my own bills trying to keep decent credit, and skip meals days at a time just to save a little change but my best friend have two children and she got a job in the cafeteria making a decent wage, government pay for her food and apartment, and she gets more than me around income tax. I thought being pregnant at an early was not a good thing but I am catching way more hell than she is and I dont think that is fair It makes me want to get pregnant on purpose just so I can have a little light in my life . what do you think serious opinions please

On Saturday I started bleeding and thought it was my period, but it only lasted one day and two tampons. Then this whole week I have been spotting brown discharge and have cramps....any ideas? It was a really long cycle too-40 days. And yes I am trying to conceive.

My 3 year old daughter does not like to listen to directions. I just started her in preschool and when everyone else is sitting in a circle or paying attention to the teacher, my daughter wants to run all over the place and not listen when she is told to go sit down and then throws a fit when we make her. She hardly will listen at home, on occasion she does, but not all the time. She is like this wherever i go, i constantly have to hold her hand or she will take off and not listen when i call her name. I get really frustrated, especially when we are in public but dont want to scold her in front of others. Why doesnt she listen? what can i do to get her to listen and behave?

I have a 4 month old infant that I've been trying to feed infant cereal too. I'm not having much luck with this, she spits it all back out, she cries sometimes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Should I just be patient and stick with it? It's soooo frustrating!

I slept with 2 guys (I was single gimme a break) I got preg & was sure who the dad was. When the baby was born everyone said that he has his dad's head (block shaped) His face was definitely the spitting image of MY dad,besides his mouth. His mouth is just like the father I assumed was. Even other people would say it on their own, without me mentioning it to them. My son's grandma (alleged father's mom) took an at-home DNA test and he's not the dad. I dont get it! That mouth HAS to be his! The upper lip rests over the bottom lip & the funny thing is that the OTHER guy who I did NOT think is the father has the exact opposite kind of mouth.even before I got preg I noticed that his bottom lip was bigger, almost as if he had an under bite the teeth I told my mom what happened & she said that it was really odd that I have a child that looks like so-and-so but it's not his. Do you think there'a a chance that the at home test was wrong? Maybe done wrong? Any experiences w/ wrong dna results?
