Does ur child stay dry all nite long?
Does she or he know the difference between poop and pee?
Can ur child pull their pants down all by themselves?
Does ur child show interests in sitting on the potty?
These are a few questions that the pediatrician will ask. You can purchase a potty seat that sits on the floor and have your child sit on it with all his/her clothes on. If they like it continue doing that everyday and take their diaper off and see if they will go. If they scream than back off and give them time!!!
Just because a child turns 2 does not mean that they are ready to potty train...every child is different!

When my son was 2 I found out that babies could be potty trained at 24 months...and since I hated diapers.... I ran right out and bought a potty. We didn't do silly songs or make it a big deal but I know he knew how happy I was about the whole thing. That and m y brothers told him that if he could pee like a man they would teach him to pee outside LOL the point is, every kid is different and your attitude will make all the difference.... I only left him in pullups for a short time to get the idea...then I figured the Uncomfortable feeling would help...so we went right to undies during the day....and they have such great ones now with all their fav characters.... good luck

absolutely not! by 2 children can comprehend the relationship to potty and elimination. be diligent in your efforts, consistency pays off. develop a schedule until you catch it for the first couple times, make a real big deal out of it, show it off to the rest of the family. then they will want to go for the attention it gets if nothing else.

your chiild will tell you when she ready. What i mean is she will tell you she wet alot or shes stinky. I started taking my kids at 2 to the potyy even if they didnt use it they got the idea and if they actually did use it you praise them make a huge deal about it. Maybe have a rewards box with stickers or fun little inexpensive toys from the dollar tree or something to encourage them. Just keep up a routine of taking them and done get discouraged. Aso when the get good at training take them to pick out big (girl or bboy) pants that they want to wear good luck :)

My daughter turned 2 in Nov. and she's potty trained. It really depends on each individual child, for example, how well he/she can communicate, but I would start, and see how ready your child is.
