I know that pregnancy tests usually only work after you miss your first period. Women in my family(even me) usually still get their periods for 1-2 months ino the pregnancy. when will i be able to take a test without it saying negative, if i am pregnant? too early = negative results......

ok, so my fiance keeps talkin about having kids but he told me how i should be careful with having cats in the house because they affect the baby when I'm pregnant or they can even prevent me from getting pregnant at all. is that true? its not just him who told me this, i've also heard it from others.

It is now 2:30pm and she wont go down for a nap. Do you think she had too much sleep last night. I have been reading the book healthy sleep habits happy child which has worked great for night time but naps just are not working, what do you think? Any suggestions?

I have been married for 9 years and with the same man for 10. He has children from a previous marriage that we are now raising, ages 13 and 15. He promised to have his reversal done long time ago while i was still in the army and had it all payed for. But he chose to back out the day of the surgery. I have waited so long to have children of my own, and now all he wants me to do is try and save to have his surgery done or get artificially inseminated. I feel that's BS and he backed out on me so now i'm thinking about finding a donor on my own. Is this wrong of me to feel this way? I don't want to cheat on him, but there are ways of insemination besides sex. I just know sometimes the want of having my own child, overrides the reality of who i may hurt going and doing it on my own. but at the same time he had his chance and I'm now raising his daughters, and i feel my needs are on the back burner...... just please give me your opinions......i'm soooo confused!!!!

My husband and I have decided to try for another baby..I had my period Nov.15th 2006 and did not go back on birthcontrol..Had a period on Dec.15th but now I was supposed to start on Jan.14th and didn't.It's almost a week later and I took a pregnancy test but it said negative..Could I still be pregnant..I don't feel like I am going to start but I don't feel pregnant either..

I think i might be but im not sure. cant get hold of a test for 2 weeks. im 5 days late and im normally clockwork. Me and my fiancee have been trying.my boobs are tender, and i cant stop eating everthing i can get hold of. those are the only things that have changed. does anyone have any clues? would really appreciate it as we cant wait to be parents!! thank u x

My 10 year old daughter actually looked at me and told me to f.o. I washed her mouth out with soap. My husband spanked her several times on her bottom with a belt. It was horrible hearing her cry and plead for him to stop. Was this too harsh? What else could we have done?

My marriage is basically over(thank goodness) Im broke and Im a wreck emotionally, I dont want to cry in front of my kids but sometimes I do, How do I find the strength to be a good mom and carry on. Somedays I cant even get out of bed, Im a woman thats been beaten down so far that I dont know who I am anymore, why isnt the well being and love for my children enough, maybe Im just depressed, any ideas?

My friend who is married and is 21 just had a miscarriage yesterday. She text messaged my friend and said she lost the baby. She was 2 months pregnant. I know I shouldn't call her b/c she doesnt want to talk to someone? How can I apolize to her and say I'm sorry for losing her 1st baby. I feel really sad. I thought for now an email should be okay and wait another day or two then call her? What should I do? I don't want to call n upset her more by apologizing.

Mirena is a iuc. I really don't want anymore children after I deliver in June that will make baby # 3.
I am so scared to get my tubes tied. I was on the pill and patch and had my son and daughter that way.
The shot made me gain a 150 lbs.
I was wondering what a iuc was? How does the Dr put it in and does it hurt? Can you feel it after it is in? Does it really stop your period? sorry so many questions talked to my dr and he said will discuss it after i deliver.

I'm 14 and in high school. i know i shouldn't care about this or anything but i sometimes feel jealous of people in HS with boyfriends. i don't need one, but it'd be nice to have someone in your life like that. you know? my best friends don't have boyfriends and we're ok with it. it's nothing to worry about.
i have lots of guy friends who love my personality. not be overconfident, but i don't think i'm ugly, i think i'm actually pretty (well most of the time) =)
but none of them feel that way about me. or any other guys i know. is it because in their eyes i'm just a little girl? because i'm flat and short? is that why no one likes me?
because like i said, i have a pretty good personality and i'm not ugly.
i know this sounds SOO superficial, but it's really how i feel sometimes.

I have noticed that mothers treat their sons very differently from their daughters. It's like their son hung the moon or something and they act as if their son could do no wrong. Most of my friend's mother-in-laws (and mine) behave this way. I'm just curious why this is. Any input from mothers who have boys?

I think i might be pregnant, but I don't know if it is just in my head. I had sex around the middle of my cycle in December and since then i have tried drinking alcohol twice, both times I ended up getting sick, which I rarely get sick after drinking alcohol. I got my period Jan 2 but it lasted for 2 days. The week before Jan 2 I had a lot of lower back pain and what felt like cramps. I usually do not get cramps or back pain prior to my period. I took a preg test a few days before my period was to begin and came out neg. I have also noticed my lower abdomen feels a little hard, I definitely have an increase in sex drive, and an increase in eating, and feel moody where the smallest thing can make me feel like lashing out. My next period is suppose to begin approx Jan 30. I have not taken a preg test since before jan 2.

Just wanting someone else's opinion. Thank you!
