I know that pregnancy tests usually only work after you miss your first period. Women in my family(even me) usually still get their periods for 1-2 months ino the pregnancy. when will i be able to take a test without it saying negative, if i am pregnant? too early = negative results......

Your best solution is to go to a doctor. Their tests are better and can tell sooner. They can even do a blood test, though I believe that takes a little longer than a urine test. They can also do an ultrasound to confirm a pregnancy if you don't want to wait for blood test results, that's what they did for me. However, having your period or not shouldn't affect the test, it measures the amount of a specific hormone in your blood that skyrockets and then doubles every day after you conceive. Having your period won't affect that, but if you are pregnant you need to know, whether or not it seems that normally women in your family bleed into their 2nd month, bleeding while pregnant always needs to be checked upon by a Dr. to make sure it's ok.

Read the tests.....some say you can take them up to four days before your period.
