Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 January 2007

Dear all,

I've stopped to take birth control pills for 2 months plus now. My last menstrual period was supposed to come on 30 Nov but it came on 6 Dec instead. And this month, it was supposed to come on 5 jan but it yet to happen.

I had unprotected sex with my fiance and he ejaculated inside me on Xmas eve, 24 dec. I too experienced some light spotting on 1 Jan and yesterday 10 Jan. Im very confused now whether im pregnant. My last menses came late too and I wasnt pregnant at all. But I have never experienced spotting before. My breast are sore and sensitive, my low back aches frequently. I havent done a home pregnant test yet as my girl friends told me to wait for another 5 days.

Could anyone tell me what I am going thru now? Fyi, i am now on hyperthyroid medication which started on 8 dec. Could my late menses due to this medication and stopping of birth control pills?

I already have a gorgeous little boy and am pregnant again hoping for a girl. Everyone (including strangers on the street) say I am having another boy from the way I am carrying (straight out but quite pointy). Has anyone carried this way and had a girl?

Did anyone notice white pimple-like bumps on their nipples (especially visible when nipples are hard) before they found out they were pregnant or is this normal for women, even when not pregnant? Because I never noticed these bumps before. My nipples are also hard 24/7, they probably go down for like 20 minutes everyday but then they are hard for the rest of the day. This is not normal for me, my nipples have never been hard continously like this. They are also sore off and on. So has anyone ever noticed these changes and later found out they were pregnant?

i don't know what to do, i don't really want to give him a bunch of meds to help him poop easier, i want to try something natural first. the thing is he does poop but he crys a lot while straining and his poop is hard (sorry i know it sounds gross...) both of us bearly get any sleep at night and during the day i can't do much cuz he's always strainig and crying... PLEASE HELP I DUNNO WHAT TO DO....

I have primary amenorrhea which was brought on by a medical condition called Panhypopituitarism. My pituitary gland doesn't function on it's own. I never grew on my own, so I had to take Human Growth Hormones (HGH). I also never got my period on my own, so I was prescribed birth control pills. I don't get a period without taking the birth control pills. Will I need to look into fertility drugs when I wish to conceive or could I become pregnant while on the pill, even with my primary amenorrhea as a factor?

I have always used Gerber bottles and nipples,i am using a medium flow 6 month nipple right now,this has been approved by my pediatritian,my son is a little weaker than most babes,he has had 2 heart surgerys already.He does not eat more than 2 maybe 3 oz at a time,my diatitian at childrens hospital has me boosting his formula right now so he gets more calories but i cant help but wonder if i changed bottles and nipples if it would help him?Any ideas?Please!!

also, there is 1 boy name imparticular that my husband likes and 1 that i like. if we put them together as first and secound names and i often used the middle name, how confusing do u think that would be for a) the baby and b) others?
one more question...i do like the name xander but i am aware that it is unique and not to everyone's tastes so we thought about going with alexander and using xander ourselves but our son would have the option to change it easily if he decided to. personally i do not care for the name alexander(or alex for that matter) and cringe at the thought of having to respect his wishes and call him that in the future. any thoughts...???

have already been informed that medical care can't be given to grandchild, unless the mother has signed a medical permission form. But with sexual abuse or molestation, the faster a child is checked, the better, at least for the perpetrator.

Currently he sleeps in his bassinet in our bedroom. However he is quickly out growing his bassinet. I dont want to put him in his own room yet, but i dont want to run into problems with him sleeping on his own down the road. Should we move his crib to our room and if so for how long??

Anyone ACTUALLY been through this? I've done this three times before and I still have 2 1/2 months to prepare. I just feel so worried about going into labor and recognizing labor contractions and everything involved... I have no idea why. I can't tell if it's that I'm scared to have four kids, I love my kids so much and I planned this baby, but now I'm just hoping I can still be a good mom to all four of them!

my 8 month old daughter has been having diarrhea for along time. she went to the pediatrician and he just called it an intestinal virus. is it possible it is rotavirus? it keeps coming back and it gets really bad. i keep having to switch her to isomil instead to get it under control. she doesn't throw up, it's just diarrhea. right now i don't have my car so i can't take her to the doctor until at least next week when i hope my car wil be done getting fixed. she doesn't have the diarrhea att he moment but i am sure it will be back. her diet is pretty regular now that i know what she likes. she drinks similac, doesn't like baby cereal at all. eats fruits and vegetables, and limited variety of dinners (she doesn't like anything with more than 2 or 3 ingredients).

My girlfriend and I havent had sex yet, special and personal reasons. However, we did engage in pleasing each other(masturbating). I had to use the restroom, so I did. I had gotten some semen on my fingers, however I washed my hands in cold, soap and wiped my hands on a towel and continued pleasing her. This happened Dec 23rd. It was suppose to be last week. This week her period was late, I was happy that it came. But I notice that it isn't bothering her as much as the past cycles. She tells me not to worry it's nothing, it's the medicine that is helping her. There is some blotting(I hope, it would be awhile for that stage)I'm just curious, and thoughts of pregnancy runs through my mind. I decided not to engage in pleasure for right now. She doesn't believe she could be pregnant and refused a test. Does anyone think I should trip out like i am now or what? Any suggestion? Age 21.

I have always had irregular periods, usually like 2 a month but the only last period i can remember is end of november first of december. my nipples have been sore for a week now,not really the breast just nipples, been urinating more and been eating like i cant stop. i took a test a week ago and it was negative. should i test again? when should i test again? also never felt my nipps like this before that i can remember. We only tried once last month, on Dec 29. My next period was suppose to be here on Jan 2nd. It still has not come. When is the soonest I can take a home pregnancy test with the right result?
