Why worry about your doctor being able to tell? You should be more concerned with what you may be doing to your body.

Unless you see the doctor shortly after having intercourse (and haven't washed well) or you've suffered some injury to your vagina during sex, there's no reason why your doctor should know.
If you suffered an injury, you'd know, so there aren't many worries in that regard.
Mind you, it's not as if your doctor can punish you for disregarding the six week guideline. It's not advisable simply because your vaginal area needs time to recover from the exertions of childbirth. Also, fertility in this time is up in the air. It *is* possible to ovulate shortly after childbirth, even though normal menstrual cycles have not yet been re-established. There have been a number of women who have had a new pregnancy discovered when they've gone to their six week post-partum checkup. You should take care to use contraceptives now, (even if you're still passing lochia, and even before your normal period returns) and now isn't a time for rough sexplay that might damage still-fragile genital tissue.

WOW! You go girl! Like everyone said, there is a reason the dr says to wait, but I don't think he could tell by looking. However besides infection, women are extremely fertile after giving birth. You better pray you don't get pg!! Good luck to you and congrats on the new baby.

Yes, they can. It really interferes with the healing of your body in and around that area. That is why the doctor asks you to wait at least 6 weeks. Having a baby is a lot of trauma to that part of you.

No, your doctor won't be able to tell by looking. The recommendation that you wait for six weeks after delivery is to give yourself time to heal and prevent infections. Good for you if you're ready and feeling up to it, but do take it easy for a while!

You are not the only one who has not waited the recommended six weeks no sex. I had sex and my doctor did not seem to be able to tell.

Yeah. Don't worry about your doctor. This is about you and your health. You are the priority here. If you are healthy that is most important. You can try to take it easy by doing other types of sex instead of vaginal intercourse a little more until you're healed.

Um, probably not. But having sex that early is a bad idea. You can get a serious infection. I think it's best you tell your dr. you DID have sex.
