Yes, I did say appendix.

Although in adults it has no function, it was once attached to your unbilical cord. In fact, if a child is stillborn, some indigenous cultures perform an "autopsy" on the child. They look to see if the appendix is still connected to the umbilical cord, or if it has become detached. Obviously, if it detached, the child died of lack of oxygen supply.

Inside of your womb the baby is connected to you via the umbilical cord at the placenta.. . The placenta is a big mass of tissue that is in the thickened part of your uterus. It has lots and lots of blood vessels that exchange nutirents and oxygen from your blood stream to the baby's blood stream. This is how the baby "breathes", eats and even filters waste.

the placenta, thats where the baby gets it's food and nutrients and gets rid of waste...and the placenta is connects to a bundle/bunch of blood vessels and attached to the abdominal wall/womb...the belly button is the actual cut cord all dried up and healed....

Placenta which is formed by the mothers endometrium which is just the thickening of the vaginal wall during a menstral cycle. It is rich in nutrients and provides support
