We only tried once last month, on Dec 29. My next period was suppose to be here on Jan 2nd. It still has not come. When is the soonest I can take a home pregnancy test with the right result?
ps. What is the best home Preg. Test?

If you only tried once 4 days before your period is due, it is unlikely that you are pregnant.
The absolute soonest you can take a HPT with a correct result is about 4 days before your period is due.
One of the best HPTs to take is the cheap ones from the dollar store. They are only $1 and measure just as much HcG as the expensive early tests. Go to http://www.peeonastick.com . This is an AWESOME site! Very helpful!

You can test now - this many days past when you expected your period, ANY home pregnancy test should give you a positive if you are pregnant. I prefer First Response or the ClearBlue Easy digital test, but any of them will work. I've heard several people say they prefer the cheapy Dollar Tree tests - they're supposed to be very sensitive.

I used the dollar tree 1.00 test & got a very quick and dark positive line-I tested when I was 5 days late.
& the dollar tree test is made by the company that makes either first response or ept.

ALL HOME PREGNANCY TESTS ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. THEY TEST FOR THE SAME HOREMONS AND ARE MADE ALMOST THE SAME. A FRIEND OF MINE WHO IS AN OB/GYN SAID EVEN THE ONES FROM THE DOLLAR STORE ARE ABOUT 99% ACCURATE. EVEN THE TESTS AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE ARE THE SAME AS THE STORE BOUGHT ONES. THE ONLY 100% SURE TEST IS A BLOOD TEST. AS A SUGESTION I LIKE THE DIGITAL TESTS THEY ARE EASY TO USE. GOOD LUCK!

Do the test after about a week after you think you conceived. So December 29th, plus one week, will take you too January 5th, so I would say it is safe to test now! This is because it takes some time for the actual conception to take place.
Try clear blue!

any test should show up after your period is due. although if its negative and you arestill worried go and ask your doctor. Just remember that the more you strss about it the longer your period will hold off!!!
also just read the packet of the test at the chemist and you will find the best one for yourself.....

If you think you are preg,i would say test now.If neg,test again in about a week.No raeson to rush it...Take the clearblue preg test..Hear they are quite accurate...

i think the ept test is best u can get the resalts sooner and u can take that test now and be able to get the right result well good luck to you

As soon as your missed period you can test. I always wait until I am a few days late.
