We have tried many bottles and found that Dr. Brown Bottle works the best. There are two nipples one standard and one wide neck. My little one likes the standard one, it’s easier to suck on for her. These bottles are also great because they keep the baby from swallowing allot of air and getting less gas. If you are worried that you little one does not get enough or you just feel that he could get more try syringe feeding him after a meal half an ounce or less. It might help him get stronger. My munchkin is 2 month old and eats 2 max 3oz at a time, I have a friend whose baby is 5month, he is 18 pounds and eats only 4oz at a time Good luck to you and your baby.

When my son was two months I didn't have enough breast milk and I had to supplement , this are the two top choices by far, they are more pricey but with great benefits.

1) Avent Wide Neck This bottle is supposed to be the best, particularly for breastfeeding moms who need to use bottles. This bottles has a unique air flow system that has been proven to help prevent gas pain associated with bottle feeding. Comes with a variety of nipple sizes based on age, 4 oz. and 9 oz. bottles, and disposable and reusable. Don't put the lid to tight or it will leak.

2) Dr. Brown Bottles
These bottles also help prevent gas pain, burping and spitting up by preventing the formation of a vacuum within the bottle. They have easy to read numbers for accuracy of measurements. Available in wide or regular neck.(I like the wide better) and it has different nipples depending on the babies needs, slow, fast flow.

Both of them come in sets of 3 for about 12.99 but they are worth the money! I have both because I really like them and couldn't decide on one the nipple is wide imitating the breast ,good luck with your baby!

We have one gerber bottle right now and she seems to eat to fast with it. So we changed her bottles to Playtex ventaire wide bottles and she drinks much better. And they dont get as much air either. You can also try the playtex bottles that have to use the liners.

Keep with the nipples you are using and be patient the new formula will be what he needs. It wont be long before you will be able to give him infant cereal then he will begin gaining more weight.

2 or 3 oz? wow... use whatever he likes. Babies usually suck on anything.
