Are there parents out there who are not living together but have an agreement of financial support without involving a court order?
If so how has it worked out for you? I'd appreciate details of your situation and any tips.
My daughter's father is good about paying his support in the amount we agreed upon. On occasion he drops little comments/kind of complains about it in his way (which I cannot STAND because I am her primary caregiver 99.9% of the time) but so far has held up his end of the deal.
On one hand I am afraid he's going to flake out or drop the ball at some point. On the other hand I reeaaallly don't want to go to court. We get along well and he loves his daughter very much and why rock the boat. Is this a mistake?
He just doesn't have the greatest history of responsibility and I worry.

I work part-time as a substitute teacher, go to college full-time, and I'm pregnant. I'm due in September. I start my 3rd semester of college in August, should I take the semester off since I'll be starting when I'm 8 months pregnant? My husband can financially support us, but I may lose my scholarship if I miss a semester... what to do?

He eats every 4 to 5 hours only 4 to 5 ounces. He doesn't sleep like most babies and I give him cereal with his formula at night. I am scared I have given him to much cereal to soon. He was 9 pounds when he came.

I went off of birth control at the end of November and got my period the first week of December. It wasn't a normal BC period...it was the type I had before going on BC. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. I've had cramps a lot towards the end of Dec. and headaches w some nausea. I should have gotten my period yesterday?? Any one have any experience with getting pregnant after birth control pills? Could I be pregnant? Or is my cycle just taking awhile to regulate? Serious answers only.

I am 27 years old, so it isn't menopause. I have 4 children and after the last I had a tubal ligation. For a little over a month I have felt nauseous, have not been able to drink coffee, over emotional, and now I am having some stomach pains, noiting too serious, more uncomfortable (like pressure, similar to what I have felt in early pregnancy before). I am now 5 days late. But I know that becoming pregnant after tubal ligation is not very likely. I am goint to take a test very soon, maybe later today. I was just wondering is anyone knew of anything else that could cause me to ba late, or to have these other symptoms.

I've looked everywhere for a dedicated place to adoption and after months have given up hope that Yahoo would ever put it up. Why is there place for the subject of adoption when so many people have been touched by it?

I decided i am taking my daughters in for breast implants, so they will look like me you know, its so important being that i am the most influential person in their lives.
I'm also having part of their genitalia cut off, its much cleaner, fewer creases for bacteria and yeast to grow in. It may save them some discomfort later when they don't take care of it properly.
studies also show it cuts down on STD's.
good reasons? no?
but the same reasons are used to cut off/alter/mutilate a part of a boys body.
if its ok for boys, why not girls?
women have all the same rights as men. except where it comes to genital mutilation. men get all the rights there

I went off the pill last month. I was a sunday start but always really got my period on Wed or Thursday, done by Sunday. I am thinking my cycle is 31-32 days. Is that right? I am trying to figure a good time to take a test but too soon. My last period began Dec 13th. Any advice? Thanks

I'm on the Pill, and I'm a day late. However, I usually start my periods two days early, and I haven't been off-cycle in a long, long time. I do have a bit of cramping, headache, and moodiness, but I can't help but feel like something's way off. Should I take a pregnancy test yet?

My son is 15 months old and he absolutely loves melon, some days he can eat almost a third in a day. It's not just melon, he will eat most fruit, we try to vary it, but he will aways eats it like there will be a shortage the next day and he always has well over his five fruit and veg a day. He is not over weight, he's fit and active and he also appears to be quite advanced mentally for his age.
What my wife and I want to know is, can we give him too much fruit or should we let him just have free reign over the fruit ball?

Hopefully I will explain this well!

My sister has a 4 year old who attends preschool. She goes 3 days a week, and it's a decent amount of money. Last month she missed the whole month of school because they went on a trip.

Okay, now my Dad is very ill, and will not last very much longer. My sister is staying with my parents to help take care of him at home. He does not want his grandchildren to see him, so my sisters children are staying with their other grandparents. Now my 4 year old niece is screaming saying she doesn't want to go to school and that she misses her mom. My sister doesn't know what to do. Obviously her daughter is having a hard time with her away, and she doesn't want her to miss school because she already missed a month.

My parents live about an hour away (more with traffic) from my sister.

Any ideas on how my sister can handle this situation? I wish I could help, but I live across the country and I am flying out there on Thursday.

Thanks in advance!

If you have ever gotten pregnant while on the pill, I need to know some things... did you skip pills or forget to take them? did you have what you thought was periods in the first month or 2? Mostly i just want to know how common this is. Not statisiclly but from actuall ladies who have gone through it.

She is 23mo old and from the time she was 1 until now we would put her pacifier in her mouth and put her in her own bed (crib, toddler bed, now twin size bed). She would tell us night night and be out at 7:30 each night. She would even tell us she was ready to go to bed, gather up her babies, blankies, and pacifier and want us to take her upstairs. Christmas day we took her pacifier away from her and she has not slept in her bed again. She says she is scared, it is dark, etc. We can only get her to sleep if both my husband and I are laying right beside her in our bed. How do you get them to be unafraid of the dark or whatever it is she is insecure about since she lost her security object(pacifier)? I have even thought about letting her have her pacifier just at night, but don't real sure that is a good idea.
