I went off of birth control at the end of November and got my period the first week of December. It wasn't a normal BC period...it was the type I had before going on BC. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. I've had cramps a lot towards the end of Dec. and headaches w some nausea. I should have gotten my period yesterday?? Any one have any experience with getting pregnant after birth control pills? Could I be pregnant? Or is my cycle just taking awhile to regulate? Serious answers only.

I was on birth control for 3 years before going off in November. We are trying to get pregnant and I am actively NOT taking pills. I was looking for advice on whether or not I should get a HPT or if it could be my cycle just regulating. I don' drink, smoke, I work out, eat healthy and take vitamins.

I had a similar experience. I went off BC in November and had a normal period. Come December, my period was 4 days late. It's probably just your body adjusting to come off BC.

It's possible that you are. I've had two friends get pregnant, one that had just missed one day of b/c and the other that was off for a couple weeks (she didn't know until about 12 weeks though). That's where tracking your cycle comes in handy. It could also just be taking a while to regulate. I'd say wait a week or two and then take a test.

Yes. My wife and I are in the opposite situation as you - we had the baby and are now trying to avoid it. We will use condoms for at least 1 to 2 months after she starts using the pill t make sure we don't get pregnant. There's a window there of a month or two in which "things can happen". Good luck to you.

It is definitely possible that you're pregnant. I'd wait a week or two to be sure it's not just your cycle regulating, then take a pregnancy test. Good luck and have fun trying ;)

Yes you can its 50 50 but i got pregnant with being on it for 6 months or if this is your first time with the pills it could just be your body and if you are you will be ok

You can get pregnant but if you have had a lot of stress in your life it can change your cycle.

I COULD JUST BE IREGULAR. HOW LONG WERE YOU ON BC? GIVE IT A COUPLE MORE DAYS, BUT YOU COULD TAKE A PT TO BE SURE, YOUR ALREADY LATE. SAVE YOU THE WORRY.
