I've looked everywhere for a dedicated place to adoption and after months have given up hope that Yahoo would ever put it up. Why is there place for the subject of adoption when so many people have been touched by it?

Go to the Y!A Forum. There is a lot of discussion of on this topic. Apparently, there is not enough questions asked about adoption for it to become it's own category or subcategory so I guess not as many people as you think have been touched--at least enough to talk about it. Continue asking questions in the Pregnancy & Parenting catagory or the Family section. I doubt Y!A has shunned Adoption--I think it's just about the little amount of questions that would be asked if that catagory was provided.

Seconding KitKat's suggestion that you use this forum, but with Adoption as part of the subject line. I know that there are often very specific needs/requirements in parenting an adopted child, but, speaking as a biological parent, it would do me good to have some understanding of the challenges and joys of adoptive parenthood. We can all learn from one another, whether we share the same route to having our children or not.

Adoption can be discussed in parenting. Just put Adoption in the subject line.

I totally agree on it! I am a current foster mom and find myself asking questions to myself everyday...if there were a place on here that was more specified to the subject...then I would be more opt to place them on here instead of just in the general parenting spot!
