Does your school offer online classes? That could be an option.
If not and you really need the scolarship, I would take the minimum required classes. However your baby will need you (another ful time job). If you decide to take the semester off and lose your scholarship, look for others, there are plenty of available scholarships out there, waiting to be won.
I personally suggest that you take the semester off, thats what Im doing when my baby comes this March. You will stress yourself out if you overload yourself.

It's totally up to you, but I know that I personally could not have gone to school right after I had my baby. I think many other moms would agree that it would be really difficult on you and your baby to be leaving him or her, and that you probably won't have time to study anyway. I'm assuming you will be breastfeeding, since it is the most appropriate way to feed an infant. Being away from your baby can also interfere with starting to breastfeed. Once breastfeeding is established (after 6 weeks or so) it will be easier to leave the babe for a few hours at a time.
You may want to contact your scholarship provider and explain your situation. It may be as simple as letting them know you are pregnant and that you will only be missing one semester. If that doesn't work out, you can still try to get a different scholarship or financial aid once you decide to go back.
If you do decide to register, make sure to talk with your professors and the department head beforehand. Make sure they understand your situation and will work with you since you will most likely miss more than a few classes. There should be anti-discrimination policies in place to protect your rights to take classes. And take as few classes as possible!
Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm fixing to go to work seasonal full-time (the season runs Feb to July), I currently have three children, and I am going to continue attending the community college full time this coming semester, AND am due with my fourth child in May.
My method? I'm taking internet courses where possible, and one of my 3 cr hr classes this semester is an intercession, meaning we're metting for 2 weeks, 6 days a week and it's over on 01/16.
I doubt they'll be hard on you for trying to do school and having a baby, but don't expect to be able to take the full 6 weeks off from school and plan on being either back on your school work (for internet classes) or back in class after being released from the hospital. If you plan to breastfeed, pick a relative or daycare close to the school, and space your classes through out the day so you can leave and feed inbetween classes. That's what i did when i started college shortly after the birth of my third child.

Look into your scholarship "rules" and see if taking off a semester is ok or not if it is ok then go for it take it off it will be nice to take time off and enjoy the baby and rest then you will be fully ready to return to school. If you can't then continue school and talk to all your teachers in advance about the situation.

Personally, I would take the semester off. School and everything else will always be there. The initial weeks of your newborn are priceless and you will never get those back. School adds stress and will interfere with your newborn miracle. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 years. Nothing will take me away when our day happens. Just my opinion.
