I think you should talk to your doctor. Babies shouldn't double their birthweight in 15 weeks. My daughter was nearly 9 lbs (so I know I pain of a big baby lol) but she is 15.5 months now and only weighs about 22 lbs. Cereal shouldn't have been started that early because it is directly linked to overweight toddlers and children. But I am sure your doctor could give you some advice how how to curve the growth if they feel he is too big (I don't know how tall he is either, so he might just be a little big and no worries!). Good Luck!!

He was born large, therefore him being large now isnt that big a deal. The only way id start to worry is if your babys doctor feels hes overweight. My son is 16 weeks and weighs im guessing close to 20 pounds too, hes also very long, more than 2 feet. The doctor has no problem with my sons weight.

Well aside from the obvious that the could cereal be causing problems and the cereal is only there because of your unrealistic expectations about infant sleep keep in mind that weight should only be compared to height NOT age. (Cereal is empty calories)

According to general guidelines he baby should normally double his weight at 5 months, and yours already doubled it at less than 4. I wouldn't be too concerned since babies develop differently, but I would definitely check with pediatrician.

He sounds a little heavy for not even four months old. My 7month old is 16 pounds and came in at 9 pounds 10 onz. I think you are feeding him too much. Formula in my opinion, creates large babies. Talk to your doctor.

My doctor told me that babies should double their birthweight at about 3 months. Sounds like you little angel has done just that. If you are still concerned, never hesitate to contact your DRs office, that is what they are their for.

You do not worry about baby size until they start walking, they need all their little chunks to servive on and it is so darn cute anyway. But really don't fret it.
