Pregnancy & Parenting - 5 January 2007

So many parents now a days let their kids get away with so much crap. Picky eaters and fits and just doing whetever in the hell the kid wants to do. What happened to good ol' fashion I'm the MOM and that"s the end of it.

Kids need bounderies and discipline. Hell If I didn't have it my parents would be bald. If my kids didn't have it well my youngest would be dead because if he had his way all he would eat is cereal and with his health condition he need good nutrition that takes all four food groups to get.

She will be 5 in Sept so she'll make the cutoff, she's just so passive and shy that we are wondering if we should wait a year so she's at least not the youngest and most passive shy child in the class. Anyone have any experience with this?

I -- pregnant for the first time -- have a few nice articles of baby clothing, and am a bit surprised to notice that even the very nice stuff has large, itchy-looking tags.

Given how irritable _I_ get over an itchy tag, those are getting snipped right out.

But. How useful is it to know the size of baby clothes? Will it be worth my time to do what I was thinking of, viz: using some coloured thread to stitch in a little code so I know the size? Or can you eventually pretty much gauge the size by just looking?

A bit of an odd question, yes. But, Yahoo! Answers is so useful for those odd questions...

My son has just started school this year and I thought we had tying down. He was doing so well, then he started school and it seems he's forgetting some of these kinds of things. Now he insists he doesn't know how and it turns into a big ordeal every morning before school. No really, if I don't give my 3 year old boy a bath every other day, he smells like a puppy!

How do you retrain a 2 yr old to be a little more of a heavier sleeper. When she was little her mother made the house so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Now when she comes to the house with my fiance she wakes if the wind blows. I am not used to this since my sone would sleep thru a train coming thru the house. He is a very sound sleeper since I ran the vacuum and had the lights on played the radio or the tv always had noise going on when he slept. But this is all so different and difficult.

I am prone to breakouts, but have been clear for a while. Since I got pregnant, I am breaking out again. Not to get gross, but they're not thick or big or anything like that, they're a lot of little white heads that pop up almost every morning! Any adult acne kits your recommend? Do you prefer the Sling style baby carriers for Newborn - 6 months or the Baby Bjorn "backpack" style carriers for the same age?
