No really, if I don't give my 3 year old boy a bath every other day, he smells like a puppy!

On that note, if I don't tell my 12 year old to shower- he won't! What's up with that?! Oh and he's got the man stink now (GAG) I've bought him cool shower gels and deodarants, but he still seems like he can't discern when to use it; what age does a boy start becoming interested in grooming?

my 2 year old smells like Cheeto's and chocolate if we don't bath him! Boy become interested in grooming when they become interested in girls....or boys (if thats the way he swings). Because they know that other people like nice looking things. If a man could have sex with a woman in a card board box, he wouldn't buy a house.

Ummm....Is it because you have a puppy and your son is playing with him and he needs a bath himself?

I have never noticed it, even when he IS playing with my dog.

Besides, after a couple of days without a bath, ANYONE will start to smell.

I have to laugh about your 12 year old though. My son (5) has to put on "man stuff" every day, but my dad keeps threatening to hose my 19 year old brother down every day just to get him to take a bath.

I guess it just depends on the individual in question.

No, we don't ever become "interested" in "grooming".

Good thing too - it's a sad day for our species when we start believing that the natural smell of our bodies is a "stink", and wrong.

Women are insecure enough to be taken in by the cosmetic companies' marketing departments.

Men ( on this one issue! ) are way more sensible...

(chuckles) most boys are not social creatures and are not interrested in smelling pretty to impress the ladies. They are interrested in playing, running, hands on game play. They sweat. They smell. Boys don't play games such as: house, tea party or grooming dolls or other playmates. Look for boys to be more interrested in hygene when they are more interrested in attracting a girl..... then you will have to worry about grandchildren that smell of puppies.

Once somebody tells him he smells bad at school, that will take care of the problem...especially if its in front of a group of his peers/girls....you would be suprised how many showers he will take after that.
