First, The father most also be willing to take on this BIG responsibility. Do you both work? Do you have adequate room? Do you have medical coverage? Do you BOTH have TIME? Are you BOTH OLD (Mature) enough? These are just a few of the questions that most likely should have a YES answer before you go any further in this direction. If you do decide to go forward in this direction then I hope you have the above minimum, and I wish you the best of luck. Having a baby is very difficult in more ways than you can imagine.

If you are not pregnant, then the answer is when you and your spouse are a point in your relationship where you feel that you are emotionally prepared to support a child.
If you are already pregnant, then you should have the baby. If you are not emotionally prepared for raising a child, then adoption should be seriously considered.

When you are emotionally and financially ready, have a great guy and can give a baby all it needs...and you have to want one.
