To demonstrate is to visibly show how something is done. And so, to demonstrate the 'skills of feeding babies' ............... first get a bowl of mush, a willing baby and a spoon. You might want to put on an overall at this point because they spit and dribble a lot. Grasp the baby under one arm with it's head facing forwards and slightly towards you. Take the spoon and shovel up some mush, then proceed thus: " here comes the choo-choo train (make chuffing noises) all the way to see baby! Open wide!" You then stuff the spoon into the little orifice. Repeat till bowl clean. Place baby on shoulder and pat vigorously till it burps. Return to owner. Write up your experiment, detailing equipment used, methodology and conclusion.

Demonstrate usually means show but in a formal written examination it can mean to write down a step by step progression of the requirements needed to feed baby and point out any corrections or common mistakes that can happen as you go.
