People should really be better informed on this.

Ovulation causes you to release an egg. If that egg goes unfertilized your start your period to flush out that egg and the lining of your uterus.

Mind your if your pregnant the new baby is attached to your uterine lining....so if you had a period you would have a M/C!

When your pregnant ovulation stops!!!! Therefore you get no egg....there is no need for one your already preggo.

No you can NOT have a true period while pregnant but YOU can have bleeding and that's not really considered normal. If you are pregnant and are bleeding you should see a Dr.

Here is some sites saying the same thing I am but goes into more detail..

From personal experience, I will say yes. When I was pregnant with my son, I had a period up until I was five months pregnant. When I finally missed my period, I went to the doctor and took a test and it was positive. When I had my ultrasound they told me that I was 20 weeks along. It blew my mind!!!

I found a couple of sites...

It is very possible.
I was a part of a group called I.C.A.R.E., which was a group of teenagers that spoke to kids about abstinence and whatnot.
What girl was 16 and already had a baby.
Anyway, her story was that she had no clue she was pregnant. She was a cheerleader and had regular periods, didn't gain any weight, and no morning sickness. She did not know she was pregnant until she went for a physical--7 months into term.

If it is spotty or light, it is possible. But if it is heavy, chances are, you aren't pregnant. If you really think you might be, than a heavy period could suggest a miscarriage. I would get a home test or call your doc.
