If my 9 year old son got punched in the face by another 9 year old boy is it right that their teacher should make them shake hands?

I think its wrong that my son should have to reach his hand out and shake the hand of someone who is causing him so much upset....what do you all think?

My daughter is 10 weeks and she had a cough and stuffy/runny nose, the doctor said she may have dairy allergies, so i cut back my dairy intake, due to breastfeeding. Well she seemed to get better but i recently started her on formula (milk based) and she seems to be getting "sick" again. These are her only symptoms, no rash or diahreha or fussiness. I also have a 15 month old who has had a cold off and on for the past couple of months. Could my 10 week old be allergic to dairy or did she just catch a cold from her sister ? I just don't know whether it's nessacary to switch her to a soy based formula, or if I give her soy will I be able to tell if it helped? Or is this just a cold? I plan on calling her doctor after the holiday but I don't know what to do in the mean time? Thanks

I am about 4weeks preggo with number two, just curious about other women's #2 pregnancies. This one already seems so different. No nasea, just hurting boobs and a little achy.

My husband and I have had unprotected sex this month and of course there is a possibility of pregnancy or not being pregnant. I know periods can be late and that was another reason I didn't pay much attention but today I started feeling a little nausea but at the sametime I was cramping a little everynow and then(no blood associated). I just want to know what if I should test or not again. Im not stressing out about it I just want to start prenatal care if I am pregnant. Any suggestions on what to do from here?

For moms who work full-time: what are some of your secrets to running a household while bringing home the bacon? How do you keep organized? How do you spend quality time with the family?

my grandaughter will not do as she is told. i asked her to have a bath, sometimes she runs away she would not do it, so i ended up putting her in their with her top on and pants and washed her hair she is nine, and told her to go to bed, she will not. At school she does not do as the teachers say, she wants her own way all the time, she is banging walls now and will not go to bed and i feel like smacking her. i am sick and tired of it all, she has been excluded from school for hitting kids and not cooperating, why does she act like this.

Hi, my 10 year old boy (has a sister age 12) is really a great kid. He is quite smart, has a gennerally pleasent personnality, but has a short fuse when he gets upset or confused about something. I know he is ten, but otherwise he is almost the ideal son so to see him become so agressive, even lash out at times when he is just confused or upset by small things concerns me? Any advise?

I am 23 years old and a new mother. My father is dictating when I should or should not bring my 5 month old baby outside, when and what I should feed her at each specific stage, etc. I am an educated person with a bachelor's degree, I have read several "Baby's First Year" books from cover to cover, and I believe that I am credible enough to make my own decisions about being a mother. Of course I go by the book on most things, but my instincts on many others.
Delimma: I was outside today with my 5 month old (it's 60 degrees out today--comfortable if bundled up), and let her swing for her first time today. I took pictures of her smiling while on the swing and sent the pictures to my dad. He sent a phone text back saying, "Too young! Bring her back inside!"
I just sent him this text message saying: "I promise I am saying this with heart and all-do respect to you. Mothers are given motherly instincts about their children's fun, health, and safety. We tend to go for it too. I would never want to hurt my daughter. It is 60 degrees outside. I need space and respect from you to raise my child the way I see fit. She has had all shots, she was warm, and she also had fun. Thank you for being overprotective though, that makes two of us! Love you!"
Then he replied: "Whatever." Now he's mad at me for taking her outside.

I would like to have some opinions on how to tastefully deal with someone like this. He lives nearly next door so I can't really nod my head at him and let this go, because I feel that his "advice" will snowball into much more than JUST advice later. Also, if I talk to him in person, he constantly "shoots" my opinions as well as my justifications down. I am willing to talk to him and come to terms with him like two adults, but I feel as if I can't. Any advice? Thank you!

Hi, I missed a pill on 3rd dec on the same day I was messing around with my bf. He was wearing a condom and we were very close to penetration but it didnt actually happen. I doubled up on my pills the next day, and have been worrying ever since. I have had my period since then, it lasted for 5 days and went from light to heavier to light again but was slightly lighter than usual. I have taken 3 hpts, the latest one taken 24 days after the event. All have been negative. But is there a big poss. I could still be pregnant?! I know I have already asked a similar question to this but I'm rather worried and would like more input if poss. I may do another preg. test tomorrow (this will be 28 days after the event) and/or go to the doc for a blood test just to make sure. Thanks for reading, I'm probably just being paranoid but would like some outside input anyway. Thanks!

1. I stopped taking birth control Sept 9th. and got my period as scheduled that following week. I had another the following month Oct.22 and then another in Nov. 24th. This month came around and based on my last two periods the time that I was supposed to Ovulate I had dark brown staining for 2 days along with the lightest of cramping. When it came time for my next period...nothing. I took at test this morning and it came back neg. It was a clearblue digital, so I wasnt able to see if there were any faint lines indicating that I may be pregnant or just having some irregular periods...lemme know your opinions please.

If girls and women dressed more modestly, (no clevage showing, stomach, or butt) do you think that it would cut back on females getting raped? Flashing your sex parts to men is almost asking for it. What do you think?

I've picked out a few names for my fiance' and mine's future children, but I'd like to learn others' opinions of them. I mentioned why I chose each name.

KAIRI GRACE
(Kairi: pronounced ka-I-ri; japanese for princess - we both love anime and japanese culture)
(Grace: my fiance's grandmother)

SAVANNAH ELIZABETH
(Savannah: I grew up in Georgia and loved it)
(Elizabeth: my mom's name is Betty, which is a pet form of this)

AYLA RYAN
(Ayla: after my favorite literature heroine)
(Ryan: just always loved this as a girl name)

DONALD JOSEPH... III
(my fiance's name, but he's a Jr and wants to continue the line - I'm not sure though)

JOSEPH ALEXANDER
(Joseph: my fiance' middle name and I like it in general)
(Alexander: regal sounding)

SAMUEL DOUGLAS
(Samuel: undecided, but can have nicknames)
(Douglas: my father's name)

GIDEON DOUGLAS
(Gideon: love this name, but I can't get my fiance' to agree)

Might use ANN (deceased m-i-l's middle name) as an alternative.

It seems to me that Americans hate free time on a sub-conscience level! It seems that Americans make life decisions one after the other that take away their free time. Whether it be more procreation (more long hours at work), bigger house (more long hours at work), buying crap you don't need (more long hours at work), etc etc etc. What ever happen to just taking enough responsibility to sustain your life in a non-agrarian society and not an ounce more AND JUST LIVE!!!!!!
