Pregnancy & Parenting - 27 December 2006

I am almost 6wks pregnant. I have fever , sore throat and runny nose...! I feel horrible!!
I checked temperature. It had been between 98.5-100F.. I am so worried that it will hurt my baby... I took tyrenol -325mg-only took one tablet and seems that it works little on fever...
Any idea? Or shall I call to doctor?

so i'm 16 weeks pregnant with my first. i haven't gone thru quickening yet. on ocassion when i go to stand..alot from low seats like the toilet... i feel something heavy as i'm midway to being full upright. and its where the baby might possibly be. so is it the weight of the baby i might be feeling? commen sense tells me yes but then i think maybe its just my muscles since they are stretching.

so what do you think?

Today I was telling my 3-year-old daughter that we were going to visit a friend of mine. She's never met her, and asked me, "Mom, what color is she?".

We never discuss racial differences or anything race-related, so I was a little taken aback at her question, and answered it as innocently as I could. I said, "She has brown hair, dear", thinking that would be enough to satisfy her question.

She then says, "No mom. What color is SHE?"
I'm still a little shocked, but I say as calmy as I could, "She's just like you and me". (we're caucasian).
And my daughter responds, "Ohhh. You mean she's gray like me"???

I don't really know what to make of this. Have other parents had similar experiences with their kids when they realize people come in different races and "colors"? What's the best way to respond to this delicate question?

Me and my husband have been trying for 6 months to get pregnant. I am finding myself getting really depressed when I start my periods each month. I have bought ovulation test strips to predict when I am ovulating but it is not working. I have even started to take my temp. to see when ovulation occurs as well. Im am 25 and the odds are in my favor to become pregnant but it doesn't seem to be happening. Am I missing something?

Currently using a sippy cup (quite well) for drinking water. Has 4 bottles a day. 8 ounces for breakfast, 6 ounces for lunch, 6 ounches for dinner and the 4 ounces for bedtime bottle. Would still like to keep bedtime bottle for comfort.

I think so because a persons bite is way more toxic
Even if the bite is small you have to the doctor or hospital
police officers that have been bitten by criminals have almost lost their arm after waiting too long to go to hospital

I had one positive home pregnancy test followed by two negative. Does this mean I'm having a miscarriage? I haven't bled or anything like that. My breasts are still growing. I've gone from a B cup to D in four weeks. I still have all the symptoms I did before but I thought your HCG level was supposed to double every 48-72 hours?
