watch the ball drop on t.v... bring over some party favors like hats and streamers... have your own celebration at home. Fireworks probably wouldn't be good for a 1 or 2 year old.

Well, do you like the kids? Have plenty of snacks, and bring some games and stuff to play with. On TV, Disney Channel has a pretty good line ups for New Years that the 10 year old will probly like, and make sure you watch the ball drop!!! For the little ones, have a couple things to keep them occupied, as they get bored and distracted easily. Have a happy new year!

Bring glitter glue, construction paper, crayons, etc, and have the 10, 3, and 2 year old make New years hats/decorations (with a bit of help, of course).
That will keep them busy for awhile. Bring kid friendly music (or ask their parents to bring any they have) and have a "dance party."
Since the little ones wont be able to stay up late. have a "new years birthday" and blow out some candles while welcoming the new year. (the bday context is easier for kids to understand).
good luck!

Do what I do with my kids 3,5,6,8 &11. We go and buy sparkellers, and some popers for the little ones that are affraid of the sparkellers. Poppers are cheep and fun. you pull a string and conffetticomes out with a pop. Your kids will love it . Mine do. Then I can tell you now that they are not going to be able to stay up all night, but it is fun to see them try. cause they will try everything to stay awake but can't. So you and your husband will still have a little time to each other to bring in the New Year.

get the 10 year old to help keep an eye on the others. as for the 1,2 and 3 year old, try having them watch videos and then putting them to bed WAY before midnight. the ten year old can self sustain , or you can play video games. make sure the parents bring thier own toys as you cannot be expected to entertain these kids without toys..and videos,,, and games

You are a babysitter you are suppose to be watching the children so think of some fun things you can do appriote to their ages. Make pizza, popcorn and play games, watch the ball drop. Call a friend and watch the balldrop together.Just have fun with the situation you are in.

Ask if you can invite some friends to keep you company, put the kids to bed early, then break out the popcorn and your party hat and bring in the new year.

Just watch some TV shows and other quiet things. That's quite a handful. And you really shouldn't have friends over if you're going to be babysitting, especially with children that young. You need to give them your full attention.
