I think that the spelling Melena is correct. If you wanted the other pronunciation it would be Meleena.

However, what about Melayna...

Donald Trumps new wife is Melania. I think that is her spelling and I always thought it was a beautiful name as well.

Good luck! SD

How about - Maleyna!

So persons will pronounce it MA -LEY- NA

or u can use Maalena (sort of unique and the first syllable is long causing the second to be short just as u want it!)

Malaina, Mhaleyna, Mahaila

i'd spell it R A I N. it's going to make existence a lot less difficult, with out you and later her having to consistently say "Rain, with an e" or "Rain, spelled R A Y N E". to furnish you an selection selection, although, there's somewhat female on my son's baseball crew named Rain. Her call is spelled R E I G N E. I nonetheless want the elementary spelling.

My sister's name is Helena. Many people mispronounce it Ha-lay-na. She just corrects the pronunciation and it's not that big of a deal. Don't go for weird misspelled looking versions of such a nice name.
