Hey! My aunt just had twins and she doesn't know what to name them. They are girls. Below are the suggestions I gave her.

The Ones I Am Thinking Of:
Victoria + Elizabeth

OR

Faith + Hope

Which one do you think? Or do you have any other suggestions for girl twins?

My step-daughter is going through the worst postpartum depression I've ever encountered. This is her second child and she reacted about the same with her first, but I thought she would be able to recognize her symptoms and actions this time and handle it a little better.
She actually has thoughts of harming her and the baby. She says she can't even stand to look at him. The doctor has her on sedatives and I realize she needs more help than what her physician is doing for her. She is in Washington State and her father and I are in Florida. We have talked to her mother about it, who does live close to her, but her boyfriend is feeling neglected and thinking she is spending too much time with her. Please do not get into issues and tell me how wrong her mom's boyfriend is. Believe me, we know all this and would agree with you. Her father and I have no clue what to do. We can't just up and fly there, there is no possible means of doing so. What can we do?
We feel are hands are tied!

I'm thinking it's probably becoming really common these days for OB groups to rotate patients. I've been to my OB 3 times and have seen 3 different doctors. They tell me I should see every doctor (there are about 8) at least once because one of them will deliver my baby. I find this annoying. Anyone else feel like this? Are there still traditional practices out there that do not do this?

I was considered in pre term labor at 31 weeks and put on bed rest. I have been contracting every day, for most of the day, every 2-3 minutes. They don't hurt real bad but after 5 weeks of this my body is tired. I was in the hospital 2 days ago with strong contractions every 2-3 minutes and I dilated 1 1/2 cm while I was there but I opted to go home and wait it out there. I got home and they stopped. How much longer!!! I am just getting physically and emotionaly drained!

Okay, so if this child is a girl we are definatly going to name her Claire.
We are having a hard time finding middle names though. Really we can't think of any at all that flow well. The last name is going to be Gabriel. Any help would be much appreciated.

In order to save some time and money I will often bathe our 8 year old and 11 year old boys together. My 11 year old has a pretty long skater style hair cut and it is often difficult for him to maintain so I do wash the kids hair for them. I usually get the bath started let them play for about 15 to 20 minutes and then come back in and wash their hair. We've tried to get him to wash his hair on his own, but it was really starting to stink.

They both have the option to bathe or shower alone, but lately i've been pressed for time and they don't want to wake up early in the morning. Is this still okay at this age?

She is 22 months exactly...and she can say words, recite her abc's and count to 10....she just doesnt speak in full sentences outside of the phrase "Come on" when she wants something ;).....I believe it is due to her not being in daycare....I have a sitter at home with her because Im scared to death of daycare until atleast 3yrs *assuming she will be talking by then bc i need her to be able to communicate to me any wrong doings**the sitter is family which I trust*....Nonetheless, are there any suggestions outside of reading to her that may assist her with her speech. I buy leapfrog and all the learning toys I find...but I dont want to feel like Im pressuring her......any other suggestions??.... I know 18 months old that can talk her under a table and it just worries me a little *her doctor says she's fine but i'd like to ask the advice of other parents just because doctors are so by the book so its nice to know what someone actually going through it may have to offer*

I’ve noticed in here many people advise others to call CPS for just a suspicion of anything. I find that very saddening. Do people not realize CPS can really screw up a person’s life? I guess I always think of the parents before I step to those measures. I’ve never known a parent to be neglectful or abusive but I really don’t think I could do that to a person if I only thought they were for a brief moment.

I understand if a child comes to a different parent’s home with bruises every day. I understand if a child admits to being neglected or abused. I understand if there is a serious matter that a person has spoken to the parents with but honestly, why report someone you don’t even know or don’t know the children?

I just find it sad that some people call CPS for the even smallest of things. While we should all protect the children--what makes a person feel they can just call CPS to ruin a person’s life?

What kind of a situation would you call CPS for? Why?

When a women gets pregnant, its always each other responsibility, however whenever coming up with like a name people always harass men for the wife to name their child? As with other options too, say the woman wants to abort the child but the man doesn't what happens there? Does the woman get her way? I mean after all the man did produce the sperm which impregnated her, so doesn't he have the option of having that child? (I know the woman has to push it out and stuff and assuming that there is no health threats to her.) I want to know if a woman would have that child so that the man could raise it.

I just read an article that found that there is a more percentage of women who did not recieve an epidural who breastfeed and continue to do so for at least 6 months in comparison to those women who recieved an epidural and they didn't breastfeed or had more difficulty doing so and stopped after the first week.

Being a girl, with siblings, your parents tell you that they want more grandkids and you were going to be the next kid to have kids. But, you would rather use your life to find out your lifes goal and go places in it. You would rather not, because you don't feel like you wouldn't be able to raise them right and you want to move around, and travel, and you don't want them because of the world we live in.

I am having difficulty trusting other people (family....my mum, sister etc...) to mind my 9 month old daughter. I stress out that they are not going to watch her properly and not give her the right foods etc..... Has anyone else been through this? Is this something that you eventually get over? My mum keeps wanting to babysit her and I keep making excuses. I don't want to hurt her feelings and tell her the real reason is trust and I am freaking out about it. Should I force myself to do it? Or should I wait until I feel comfortable? I am afraid that I might never feel comfotable having someone else watch her. Please - any advice, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

At my daugthers elementary the teacher ask her students to buy a present and $$ for their Christmas Party .
Girls to buy a gift for a girl & the boys for boys but not to exceed $5.00 plus she asked for $2.00 for Pizza & drinks.. Wich I thinl it is reasonable, because there are parents that can't afford to give much at least they will be having fun that day!!!
The problem was that one of the mother said that she will not allowed her son to get a cheap present because he will not give a cheap present .So she told the teacher to remove him from the list that he will not even go that day!!!! I feel bad because the kid was happy to participate and is fine it will be just for fun so they can have a good moment they are in kinder they don't know about $$$ & expensive or cheap toys they are just kids !!!! What do you think about this ???

My son is 10 weeks old. His weight has been decreasingsince he gained his birth weight back. At 1st he was gaining 23 g a day, then it was 18 g and now it is less than 10 g a day. He's content after every feeding which are every 2 hours. Sometimes I don't ever stop BF
Doctor had suggested supplementing. When I tried to give him a bottle he had projectile vomitting. I realize formula is hard on there system and I would prefer to breastfeed exclusively but no matter what I do I can't seem to get his weightgain up.
Woulg combining the watery foremilk with a bit of formula be bad?was thinking of trying to do that twice a day and only giving him 2-3ounces.. the rest being only breastmilk(if he's still hungry)
and every other 2 hour feeding be breast.

Some peoplesaid its an overactive let-down.. I'm not sure.He doesn't choke at the breast and he doesn't refuse comfort feedings. He is VERY gassy and his poos sound explosive.. 2 weeks ago they were green but are normal now.it's not dairy

Ooh, and he doesn't want it on Christmas, he wants it by this week lol.
