My daughter was born Christmas day and I refused to jump on the holiday bandwagon and name her Noel as all my family wanted me to name her. The name did not fit her and her name was already picked out. Just because she was born Christmas day was not going to make me change her name. I am with you on this one!

My friend is named Joy and she was born at the end of Nov. She makes a huge deal out of Christmas because of it. I mean come on, at holiday time EVERYTHING has her name on it! LOL But I must admit I like the name Holly. Don't much care for the name Carol.

Hee hee, my mom is called Carol because her mom was stuck for what to call her and was listening to people singing Christmas carols...I didn't realise this was a world-wide theme thingy!

I also have a cousin called Holly, but she wasn't born in December!

I've never thought to give a name because of season. I named my girl Naomi and her middle name is Grace. I looked for names in Bible also in baby names books for the meanings.
Common don't follow the crowd use your own imagination. Your baby is unique so think off an unique name (Pls don't overboard like some people do. Just remember that some kids are bullied at schools because of their names. I hope you don't want it to happen to your precious child!)

I think it is appropriate to name new babies after the season they are born in. I think it's cute and gives the baby a unique characteristic.
