yes you can....i dont use avent (i have medela), but they have a "breastfeeding storage and bottle kit" and it says right on there that you can freeze the bottles...you just have to make sure to replace the nipple with the plastic disc they provide you....im sure avent makes bottles that can be used for pumping and storing expressed milk

you can also store them in the freezing bags, but when you think about it, you are getting the same amount of "seal" as if you were to use a bottle that is closed tightly (all the freezer bags have are ziplocks on them!)

you will not lose any of the nutrients by freezing the milk as long as you store the milk right side up (which you will if it is in a bottle) and defrost it in warm water (not hot water and not in the microwave or bottle warmer)...hot water is what will kill the nutirents in milk...all you need to do is bring the milk back to room temperature before feeding it to your baby...if you find that the milk looks like it has separated, just shake the bottle up...

good luck!

You should be able to freeze your milk in baby bottles with no problem. I've done it on occasion. The only thing I noticed was that when my baby was very small, she wouldn't take a full bottle full - just a couple of ounces at a time. So I used to freeze my milk in baby food jars, and once I even had access to some 2 oz. platic bottles that come with water for formula. After this mom was done with those bottles, she gave them to me, and I put my milk in those little 2 oz. bottles. If my daugher needed more than that at a feeding, I just got another out, but I wasn't throwing away milk from a larger bottle that she didn't eat, and I wasn't reheating that milk either. Just my own experience.

Yes you can - just make sure you sterilise very carefully. When you get it out the freezer put it into a jug of hot water until it reaches the right temperature, then feed immediately - DO not re freeze

Bags are useful - but I did find the milk seem contaminated - and had to throw those ones out.

I wouldn't recommend you do it as well. There're special designed bags for it you can get them from pharmacy or mother&baby shops. I personally use the milk within 36 hours (48 hours are recommended) so freezing is unnecessary for me& don't like the idea of it at all =) (go for fresh I would say, but it's up too you), I just keep it in fridge but not on the door.

Honestly, at first, I thought it's cheaper to breastfeed rather than give a formula milk but I ended up buying necessary accessories to it like breast pump then breast pads (you can't survive without them cause you leak every time you engorged or feeding) then breast shells to keep yourself dry and also not to waist the milk, then freezing bags if you want to do it....I'm happy, of course all these things make our lives much easier but they don't cost cheap- that's the main problem

Whether you can or not I wouldn't recommend it. You can express it and put it n the fridge for 24 hours but I think putting it in the freezer would lose a lot of the most needed vitamins for your baby and if not handed correctly could even be dangerous. If you are having problems feeding your baby breastmilk I would suggest trying to change to formula instead of freezing cos I think it would be safer all round.

You can store breastmilk in the freezer, and even in bottles, just replace the teats with the plastic stoppers. Or you can get bags to store it in or even storage pots...

It can be frozen for 3 months and refrigerated for 24 hours.

You can freeze in a glass bottle for up to two weeks, make sure you date each bottle and breast feed as long as you can, it's the best thing you can do and I pumped at work, most jobs will work with you to do this for your baby.

Yes you can freeze the breast milk in the advent bottles. That is the system that i use. Just buy the sealing discs.

You can get special freezer bags for expressed breast milk so you can date them. Wouldn't try in the bottle- not that practical. You defrost in the fridge.

Works with Yaks milk too. ( joke)
