I have my daugther of 6 and my boy of 2 also sharing the same room.. I have 2 white twin beds and in the middle they have a chest with a lamp with stickers of Nemo & princess and a alarm clock hers has a comforter of princess and his has a comforter of Nemo and on the side of each of their beds I have a picture of them. They both share a dresser it is white and have small tv with dvd palyer on top of the dresser ,they also have a small book case iside the closet where they keep their book and some stuff animals , and they have a white small table with two chairs and I have 2 corner net where they keep some stuff animals for decoration and they have a small basket each with their toys and since my girl had a kitchen we place it in a acorner and they both play there ..It is not a big room but I try to keep the toy baskets indide the closet and so as the book case and every time they play the take out the toys and out them back again!!! Like I said it is not a big room but they have plenty of space to play & watch TV... U can use baskets with lids to place on top and on in the bottom fro their toys and that way it will save U space !!! GOOD LUCK !!!

WOW. cant believe how many ppl have the same age kids sharing 1 room..lol..rite now i have 5 y/o girl, 2 y/o boy and on weekends a 7 y/o girl sharing a room.not a huge room either. but all their clothes are in dressers and the closet has nothing but shelves for books, games, etc. the bottom shelve is higher so that 2 toyboxes fit under it.(1 toybox for the girls, 1 for the boy).there are bunkbeds for the girls, which their toys are in those short but long totes underneath. also the same for my boy. toys under his bed as well . so pretty much thats left is just enuff room in the middle. So ya like every1 else 1 side is boy themed other is girl themed.Good luck ;)

If you think she's old enough for a bunk bed you can get the kind that you can put a tent on top (at ikea) and close in the bottom for your boy. Let them decorate the beds however they want and make the rest of the room an neutral shared play zone. Have fun!

I have a 10 yr old and a 3 year old in the same room. It's tight but here's what we do:
Bunks beds, large dresser for 10 year old; smaller dresser for 3 year old. Closet has clothes for both hanging with see through plastic bins under for toys. Winter clothes is out now (in closet and dressers) Summer clothes are stored in bins in basement to make room. They also have a small book case each for books, display stuff, etc. They really don't play in their room, such sleep and dress. They have a small corner in the living room with toys that get rotated regularly with the upstair toys. we also store stuff under the bottom bunk like their shoes and flatter plastic containers with toys that get taken out regularly like legos, bionicles, hot wheels, etc.

You will have to put bunk-beds in the room it will save on room. You put the boy at the bottom of bunk ;the little girl on top bunk. There is a ladder so the little girl can get up and down ladder. Then you could put a tall dresser so that they could share it too.Top drawers for the girl and bottom drawers for the boy. Then they can have their own bedspread on each bed that they like.

My 9 year old daughter and 19 month old son are charing a room short term right now. I would suggest using the closet to your advantage by organizing toys in it. Try using rubbermaid containers. One side is your sons the other is your daughters. Hope that helps a little.

put thier dressers in the middle he dresser facing her bed his facing his... than put thier toys on thier side of the room!!! eventually u can get a room divider and that will help organize things a little more!
