I feel like I get into such a rut sometimes. How do you keep up with everyday chores and taking care of everyone around you without breaking down? Am I the only one who feels this way?

By way of background, I am the single father of a 2 .5 year old girl, two lovely cats, and a rare-bread Mexicalla Chinchilla. I love the cats and Chinch dearly! Anyway, many nights my daughter cries uncontrollably to the detriment of the cats and Chinchlla. I was wondering if any of you give your kids tylenol PM or other medicines mixed with some warm juice to calm the kids down and get them to sleep. I did this once this week, and it worked great - I was able to enjoy a wonderful night with the other "kids" and even was able to have the Chinchilla run around freely through the house and loved watching the hijinx it encountered LOL!!!!!

But I'm concerned that this may be illegal . . . . is it?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant, and single. Now, before all of you go and say, "DON'T DATE OTHERS, BE WITH THE FATHER!!" we have both decided that it's better for the child to not be together so our child is not raised in a home with battling parents. I'm going out on a blind date tonight, and I don't know if it's appropriate to tell him that I'm pregnant on the first date, or if i should wait and see where it all goes. I just don't want to scare this guy off.

OK...my 6 year old daughter is a little overweight and becoming subconscious of it too. She says things like I am too fat, or people call me chubby. She always talks about exercising and eating better like she says we shouldn't eat pizza anymore or eat out ever. She also has already started developing boobs and I make her wear like sports bras everyday and she hates it. I don't know what to do, I have had her in sports and things but it doesn't help. Should I put her on a diet or what???

I was married with my daughters dad for 8 years and we have been divorced for a 2 1/2 years. I was with my previous boyfreind for a year and now we are no longer togather. For the last month I have started going out with friends just to get my mind off of men. I have been going out about twice a week and my father always cares for her when I am out so she is in good hands. Can my daughter notice that I am not at home as much as I used to be? How does this make her fill?

I'm babysitting my little sister and I just told her that the Lucky Charms leperchaun is going to appear in her room at night to slowly suck her soul through her nostrils while stabbing her with sharp needles.
I thought it was funny but shes crying like a cat in heat.
I tried picking her up to twirl her like a helicopter but accidentally hit her head on the wall.
Damn, what do I do?

exact same time everynight - (period or not) ... Does the irregular bleeding make me at a highter risk for pregnancy? Does the fact that my period is completely jacked up cancel out the effects of the hormones in the Pill?

Other than they would be picked on and made fun of at school? Studies show that children with outlandish names have a harder time making friends, get bullied more, and a high percentage of boys with outlandish names wind up in prison at least once in their lifetimes. I read that in a baby names book about 3 years ago (I don't have the book anymore, sorry, or I would quote it and list the authors)

But what's the appeal of naming a child a name like this? Are parents trying to make their kids 'stand out' or be "special"? What is provoking mothers to name their daughter's these horrid unfeminine names like "Chandler" and "Kyle"?
