exact same time everynight - (period or not) ... Does the irregular bleeding make me at a highter risk for pregnancy? Does the fact that my period is completely jacked up cancel out the effects of the hormones in the Pill?

... I have already talked to my doctor about switching to a pill that has a higher level of horomones ... which I will start this weekend.

***What the question was - is this increased bleeding mean that the pill is not effective, and I could get pregnant easier?***

I know how you feel. I had three very heavy periods is that same time frame. You should really see you doctor, esp. OB/GYN. You probably will have some anaemia too, if so you must be feeling really tired. If you are pregnant you don't want to take the pill.
Best advice-talk to your doctor before you take another pill, and use another form of birth control until this gets sorted out.

Call your gynecologist immediately. This could be a sign of something very serious. Haveing your period 5 times in less than 5 months is NOT normal. If you don't have a gyn I suggest you find one that will prescribe you something for irregular bleeding.
