Generally, bleeding starts before cramping in the event of a miscarriage. There are two things that you need to consider before you go about scaring the holy hell out out yourself.
1) How long has it been since you've had a bowel movement? This can cause cramping in that same general region.
2) What did you eat last night? Did you eat anything that's gassy like beans or broccoli? Trapped gas is particularly painful when you're pregnant.
Two things that you can try are Mylanta Gas (just take one chewable tablet) and Milk Of Magnesia. Take the lowest possible dose.
There's a good chance, though, that once you go to the restroom or pass gas you'll feel better. If not, go see you OB to give you peace of mind.

No, that is not a sign of miscarriage. It is quite normal to have cramping throughout the pregnancy. Early on it can be caused by feeling the uterus stretching and growing and later it can be Braxton-Hicks contractions (I like to call them "practice" contractions).
If they are troubling to you, have a glass of water and lay on your left side. If the pains get worse or closer together you should go see your doctor. If not you needn't worry (although it is always a good idea to ask your doctor if you are unsure of anything, you can even call the hospital and talk to a nurse in the maternity ward if you aren't seeing a doctor yet).
I have been pregnant and delivered 8 times, so I probably have more experience than most on this one! ;-)

No, I don't think that is a sign of miscarriage, usually that sign is heavy bleeding. But most of what you are feeling is your uterus widening itself because that's what happens when you get pregnant. If your cramps are hurting you too much you should go directly to your OBGYN. But I wish you the best of luck cause I am 25weeks pregnant, and I get the mild cramps too.

Not necessarily. Your baby is growing and so are you! If it lasts more than 3-5 days I would talk to your doctor. I had really bad cramping the first 4-6 weeks (like period cramps) Everything was fine. If you start spotting or bleeding call your OB right away!

In most cases it's a sign that the baby is getting bigger which is streching your uterus more. This can often times present as "cramping". If youhave any brown discharge that accompanies it I would call the Doctor. Monitor how long the cramps last for as well. If you are very worried call the Dr. There is no question or concern that they can't answer for you.

I was 16 when I had my first baby and at the beginning I had a LOT of cramps in my stomach like worse than period cramps- so no I don't think it absolutely means a miscarriage( my daughter is running around here like crazy). It'll go away...just get enough sleep and enough vitamins and nutrients.

Probably just stretching pains. I cramped a whole bunch then, too. Still, mention it to your doctor to be sure.

It is probably your uterus stretching. I had the same thing for a while. As long as it isn't sharp or severe pains. I wouldn't worry about it, but I would also call my dr to see what he/she says. Good luck!
