there is no way to get completely rid of them, but there are things that can be done to help diminish them -- the best bet is laser treatments. have your friend call a plastic surgeon or dermatologist to set up a consultation. of course that's quite pricey. (i used to work for several, i know)....there are a ton of creams, lotions, and gels on the market, but very few work well. stri-vectin is probably the "best" over-the-counter option. it basically lightens the marks up. good luck to your friend!

Cocoa Butter is a must. Or anything with Retin-A but that usually requires a prescription. She'll never be able to fully rid herself of her scars, but these things will help fade and smoothen out her skin. Also Vitamin A & E helps.

You don't. The only way to prevent them is to treat them during pregnancy by using lots of moisturizers...and even that doesn't work sometimes.
After the baby is born, it will take a long time, but they will change color and not be as noticeable.
If she has a beautiful brand new baby...she shouldn't be worrying about something so stupid anyway. Being a new mother has nothing to do with vanity! :0)

Tru you cant get rid of them, i have tried all kinds of creams even retin-a. All but one i noticed it helped make them lighter, Avon strech mark cream, the thing is that now they combined it with an anti celullite cream and im just hoping it still works i am using it right now and seems to be so you can tell your friend to try it. Good luck.

unfortunately you can never completely get rid of them they all fade with time but sri-vectin cream (cheapest at Costco) does help a lot in diminishing there appearance. stretch marks are the actual separation of deeper tissue/skin.. there is also laser surgery from a cosmetic MD but very expensive and i think studies show no greater disappearance than with the cream just faster and more cost

you can use all the creams and stuff like that, but the only way for them to actually go away is to give them time. They are already there, and will always be there. Surgery is the only sure way to get totally rid of them.

Only way to get rid of them is a tummy tuck. They will fade with time, but will never go away, no matter what "miracle" cream is out there says it can do.
Cocobutter does not get rid of them it only softens the skin causing them to fade slightly faster. They will eventually fade from red/pink, to a silver color to skin color. It took me almost 2yrs to get mine back to skin color after my son was born....but I had the deep grooved marks.

TIME!!!! it heals everything...
but really .. she is going to have to give it time... they do have different lotions and creams but i am not too sure oh how well they work...
and there is always laser removal.. but i would not suggest that.. too much money.. and she will more than likely have to go back again if she has any more children..
I say just wait it out... :-) i know they can be ugly.. just look at what you got because of them .. A WONDERFUL CHILD!!!
good luck to her

They don't just disappear. Stretch marks are stretch marks. Your skin stretches and the marks are permanent most of the time. There's not really much she can do. People will tell you to use coco butter and all kinds of cream, but most of the time they don't work. Stretch marks are said to be hereditary. It's just something she's gonna have to live with. Good Luck!

Stretch marks are scars. If you massage your stretch marks everyday with coco butter or Avon has a stretch mark/anti cellulite cream for 5-10 minutes they help them fade faster. Plus try to exfoliate your skin twice a week to remove dead skin.
