Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 December 2006

I have been experiencing what I think are pregnancy symptoms for the past 2 weeks- nausea, breast tenderness, fatigue, heartburn... I skipped a couple of pills last month but none this month, I feel that I may be pregnant but I have started my period this month, but it is a lot different than normally, it is very light and brown and pink, no red.... has this happened to anyone else, or could this be normal or could I possible be pregnant and still bleeding?? I have a dr appt thurs but just wondering if anyone else may have experienced this... thanks

My younger cousin is 6 years old and was living with my parents but they can no longer take care of her because they say they are loosing energy for child raising.Me i am 24 years old and a recent college graduate who just got a job in NYC recently and am living in manhattan on the west side.I will be getting money that will cover almost everything she could need and she has been signed up to start at a new school in January the school has an afterschool program to 5:30 which is good because i work 9:00-5:00.Problem is she does not want to leave home and go to a new school?

How do you emotionally come to terms with losing your baby? I'm 37, thought I could never have kids, and am having a hard time dealing with it. I'm not married, but am very close to the guy who was the father. I need to keep my mind occupied, I think. Suggestions?

my daughter is 8 months old.I started giving her rice pudding when she was 6months.I mean when i started weaning.I tried lots of foods like fruit pots,fruits,custard,biscuits,...canned foods...etc etc.But she didnt like any of them.She only likes RICE PUDDING.So,stil i am continuing that.But she got older now.In the jar rice pudding-it is written that it is the food of stage one and will start from 4 months.But according to the jar,my baby is in stage 2 or 3 now.These stages contains lots of foods like custard,cereals...etc etc.But my baby doesnt like them at all.I tried most of them.Can I continue with rice pudding stil?Or what can i give her in the morning instead of rice pudding?She doesnt like yougarts or fruit pots at all.

First of all, thank you for all of your answers! My fiance wants children in a year or two...when he thinks it will be a better time; when it is planned. He is trying everything he can to get me to terminate this pregnancy. Why does he think that if we have thiis child now will ruin our lives and not in a year or two? He says if I choose to have our baby (which I am) that he will never forgive me for ruining our lives. I am so hurt and confused.

My husband and I have been talking about having a baby for a few months and decided we were ready to try but yesterday one of my coworkers announced that she is pregnant. My boss is really stressing about this since there are only 5 of us here anyway. my baby now 13 months he had first dose a month ago ans 2 days after the vaccine red rashes and welts appered all over his body... doctor couldnt tell what was it.. anyway now its due to second dose should he get second dose?? or i shouldn't let him to have it just in case if he has more serious reaction to it? doctor says its up to me..i live in mediterinian . hepatitis b is moderate level in here

Hes not biologically mine but for 2yrs now I have done everything a bio-dad would have gone through. Through the years I feel that he has truley grown to be my son and I love him with all my heart. I want nothing but the best for him. That incluces not being spoiled so much - I know grandparents and aunts and uncles are supposed to spoil him but heres so spoiled that he knows that he is. No one else punishes him or gives him ANY boundries so when I do I look like the bad guy. Now his family sees me as a controlling social outcast. However there is method behind my madness. In turn hes mild mannered, polite (most of the time) well rounded in school, talks alot and is very social. Hes better then an average 4yr old. In addition to all that hes well taken care of. He never gets sick and when he does its only for a day. The secret is soup, juice and rest. Though everyone thinks he a mirical baby that just heals quick.Oh well, whatever. Should I let him be spoiled as everyone wants him 2be?
