Has anyone had any luck taking Metformin?

When women are diagnosed with PCOS, they often give out Metformin to help the woman conceive a child. Why don't you do some research before answering a question you know nothing about.

I took it to "help me regulate my periods". Blah!!!! The only thing I can tell you is that sometimes it's best to leave things to nature. When it's meant to happen it will. I got sooo sick of taking them I threw them away and told God it was in his hands. Two months later I was pregnant. Miracles happen!!! Keep your stress down and your head up and things will fall into place.<3

Yes, it helps me control my sugars quite well.

Metformin is a drug to control diabetes. Shouldn't take it if you're planning on becoming pregnant.

Okay--nobody has taken this drug to "regulate periods" or to try to aid in conception. Once again, this drug is prescribed for people who are diagnosed with type II diabetes. It is NOT in any way hormonal or otherwise intended to help in conception.

My dr has put me on it 2 times but I haven't gotten preg. either time. I did one cycle of it with the clomind and still didn't get pregnant. Hope it works better for you.
