I've done a lot of research on differin's safety - it's absorption topically is minimal and research in pregnant rats showed toxicity only at very high oral doses. There is no hard evidence that it is harmful and of course no randomized studies in pregnant women to show it is absolutely safe. From what I have read, it does seem to be relatively benign and actually falls in the same pregnancy class as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid - all category C. But, given that it is a retinoid-like compound and related to the hightly teratogenic oral Accutane, most doctors are not willing to consider it's use in pregnant women.

Just wondering if anyone has used differin while pregnant and if your doctor was okay with that.

I am currently in my 28th week of pregnancy. I am returning (from US) to India (Chennai) soon for the delivery.

My questions are pertaining to the procedure for hospitalisation for Labour and delivery. I plan to go the leading hospital in Chennai. I have some Q’s; Some advise please. I would really not like to get off on the wrong foot with the doctor.

1. Like in the US & UK, do the doctors here consider requests for the kind of delivery, childbirth one would like to have. For example- I would like to walk around during the initial stage; I would not like to labour reclined in the bed. I would prefer a more natural position, etc.

2. My next question – I really do not want an enema. I have a major phobia about it. Is it true that Indian hospitals insist on one?

I would very much appreciate it if any of you could educate me on the custom, Procedure. I don’t wish to offend the doctor who may be assisting me.

I'm Italian living in an English speaking country, and want an Italian name that is relatively easy for English speakers to pronounce. My first son is Giovanni, but many people mispronounce this by saying G I OV ANNI, even though I tell them how to say it, so do you think Stefano is nice, and easy to say?? Daughter is totally ready to potty train, she tells us after she has soiled herself and then even brings us a diaper, we have a little potty for her but she wants to use the big one. She tells us she needs to use the potty but when we get her situated she just sits there and then asks for TP, she goes through the wiping motion and that's it. Does she need to see mommy go to get the fundamentals down. I can't show her we will be cleaning up a lot of messes. Please help with your suggestions.

We were wondering how much you get back on taxes for each dependant(child) and if I should file her to along with the baby at tax season.. Shes really nervous... She cries alot and has mood swings..I wish there was something I could do to help her.... How am I ever going to get him to stay in his bed for his nap & nighttime sleeping??? I have two older kids, but this was never an issue. He is in that defiant stage as well and I don't know how this is going to work! I can't eliminate his nap because he off the wall without it!

I knew this day was coming, but I just didn't expect it to be so soon. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Ok, here's the story I am 16 weeks pregnant, and it seems like every female I know is pregnant. Not including me I have 6 friends and family members that are also pregnant. I just found out that my best friend makes number six! I wanna be happy for all of them, but im not. I really feel like this should be MY time. It's my first baby and most of them already have kids. Today was the last straw for me, I know there is nothing I can do about it, and it's probably mostly my hormones, but this is making me miserable. I also think Im more upset with myself for being so selfish. Anyone else been in this boat? All I wanna do right now is cry!

i always get my period around the 13th, 14th, 15th, or 16th day every month. on dec. 9 when i went to the bathoorm and wiped the toilet paper had some light pink on it.my stomach sometimes fells funny. i also didnt have sex on dec. 9. was it spotting? could i be pregnant?
