It has been almost six months now. He always fight with me and his brother, sometimes hurting us physically. Would'nt allow me to talk to him about any problems that might be troubling him. He is different now from the caring and quiet son he used to be. He's 17.

Its about time to discipline him, ground him or take that computer away from him. You can also bring him to a psychiatrist so that the psychiatrist can talk to him. If he refuses, i would suggest whipping him, but use that as a last resort.
Just because he is your son that doesn't give him the right to hurt you. You are the parent. He should be respectful to you no matter how old he is.

I certainly do not have experience with kids and I'm certainly not Dr.Phil but I think you need to crack the whip on that kid. Take away the computer altogether. Tell him to go get a job to pass the time. If he already has one tell him to get another one too. If he is physically hurting you and your other son then that is a serious problem. I think you need to call Dr. Phil.

Hi, i'm a teenager and yeah we get annoying. well my advice is this: tell him to drop the attitude or he loses his game system, predictable answer i know but trusts me it'll work. then ground him for not listening. stay firm when you give him a punishment, if you give up to him, he'll just be learning that at one point or another his mom will cave and he will get his way. Don't give up, try to talk to him even if he doesn't sem to want to hear you, even if he doesn't answer because he is listening to you. teenagers do want guidance their just to chicken to admit that. don't show that you're scared of him, it only encourages him to keep up his attitude. when he hurts you he knows what he is doing and deep down inside he feels guilty even if he doesn show it. Pick your battles with him, their is no point in argueing about everything. when you do argue make sure you are listening to his point of view, let him know your there and listening, that way he's less defensive. most importantly tell him you love him and try to spend some alone time with him. hey, if this works, maybe i'll be a therapist someday. good luck, with your son.

Step 1: Stop your high speed internet service.
Step 2: If step one fails, proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Stop giving him money.
Step 4: Take away his car.
Step 5: Take charge of the situation. Teenagers are much like horses. If you let them think they're in charge, they'll walk all over you. Take command your home, and above all, stick to whatever you decide to do, no matter what.

Take the computer from him. Or disconnect the internet service from him. Perhaps he needs to go to Boot camp since he is abusing you and your son. It is obvious you are not safe. I have three boys and they can teach him some respect. Also, I have a guy friend who is a martial arts intructor he can teach him self control and self discipline. Where are you located?
