I am two months pregnant and one of my favourite food starts is prawn cocktail, is it safe for me to eat it

My new baby is 2 weeks old. My next appointment with my OB/GYN is in 4 more weeks. At this appt, she wants to talk about birth control. So far I cannot decide on a method. I don't want to use any hormones, so no pills, patches or shots. My husband and I both dislike barrier methods, so no condoms or diaphragms. I cannot stand gels or douches, no spermicide or suchlike... The intrauterine device is OUT.

We actually want to have more children, LOTS more, we don't mind how soon. I'm young, healthy and fertile. I've already bounced back from pregnancy and a natural delivery. I'm breastfeeding my baby.

HOW do I politely tell my OB that I am not really able to decide on a method of birth control? Or, should I say I'm going to try something like "the rythm method" or "the Billings method" etc. etc., should I just lie and say we're using condoms? Then in two months "Oops, the contraception failed?"

I mean, I want another baby... Shouldn't have to justify it to the doc?

I am 20 and just found out i'm pregnant. I'm sooo excited and want to go through with having the baby. my boyfriend is soo excited too (we've been together for almost 4 years), even though it was an accident. I love the fact that I'm pregnant and feel I'd be a good mommy (and he'd be a good daddy). However, my parents are really strict and old-fashioned. They are really close to me and I'm in college and everything. If I told them, THEY'D KILL ME and my boyfriend (they love him now!). I can't even describe how mad they would be and i'm way too embarassed to tell them... Financially, my family is EXTREMEMY wealthy and everything, so money is definitely not an issue for the baby. Should I have an abortion or should I go through with the pregnancy? Am I too young? help! what should i do?

my son has been recently going round banging his head on things.he gets a toy and hits his head with it or when hes in his cot he bangs it on the wall.we have had to move his cot in to the middle of the room.has anyone else had this with their children? doc says to give him a little time and he should grow out of it coz hes just trying to seek attension but we give him loads. anyone help?

took a HPT yesterday and it was negative but went back home because forgot something - looked at it again - it was positive!

Im 37 weeks pregnant baby is measuring 42 and its all baby. Im 4cm dialated and fully effaced but baby will not drop because the contractions I have been having for 4 days havn't been strong enough to push the baby down into the birth canal. I've tried nipple stimulation and it will cause maybe 3 contractions in a row at a time is that all it is suppose to do? or am i doing it wrong.?

I'm 28 weeks pregnant, and I am having trouble sleeping at night like never before. I read that I should sleep on my left side, but then it is so uncomfortable for my back that I end up sleeping on my back, which is not good. I feel like I can't breathe, as if I have asthma. I also wake up in the middle of the night, having a nasal congestion. Anyone have suggestions on what I can use or eat to make me feel better? Or any comfortable sleeping positions? Thank You!!

Is it normal for one day to be bigger in the stomach area then the next day, it shrinks? I am 15 weeks, 4 days and my tummy is very small. Some days it feels like it is growing and other days, like today, it feels normal? Is that normal. This is my first pg and I do have doc appointment in the morning, so I will be sure to ask. I know every woman is different but I was not sure about the fluctuations. Thanks and take care.

Last week my son's 4th grade class had show and tell. My son wanted to show the class what "daddy gave him for his birthday" but luckily the teacher stopped him before he got his pants all the way off. I think this incident may have raised some suspicions.

I am seeing this guy, Chad, who has two daughters....Neveah who is 2 and La'Ree who is 14 months and yet I have a 7 month old daughter, Shyloh,...........and I am also 9 weeks pregnant! I NEED MAJOR HELP!!!!!!!! Is it a good idea to stay with Chad and bring this upon him or just keep it to myself and break it off. We have been together for 3 and a half months and things are perfect the way they are and yet, I refuse an abortion! What should I do???

I was just curious. I do have all the books about pregnancy but, I don't have them with me at all times and can't really remember what they say and I've tried searching my questions on google.com as well so, here goes. :) First question: When does the baby actually "turn" during pregnancy? I am 26 weeks and I thought he would have already turned but, can't remember or is every baby different? Umm.. yeah.. :) 2nd question: When does his eyes acutally open for good? I read earlier on, I think in week 14 or 15 or so.. that his eyes open once and then close and then reopen in week 30 or something. If anyone could help, that would be great! thanks! :)

ok little question here, i work in daycare with toddlers. i got shouted at today by my team leader (the highest supervisor in the building) for calling a child a "good boy" for drinking his water in a cup with no lid.

please tell me is she talking utter rubbish to annoy me (she has a habit of just giving orders because she knows shes the boss)

i have never heard of this rule before, only that u cant say "bad boy"

she said i need to say "great boy" in stead of good boy but thats the exact same thing if u ask me!

if u cant say it i would have loved to have known when i started my job (2 years ago!!!!!!!!)

So when a woman is giving birth to a baby, how does she push? Does she push the same way you wouldl when you take a dump or push with your stomach muscles?

Does she hold her breath while she pushes?

I'm not pregnant or anything, I'm just curious how they push.

I am 17 and i have an older brother, a younger brother and a younger sister. my older brother is "perfect" in my parents eyes and in every one elses eyes at school. he is a freshman at the community college while i am a dual enroled highschool student. he always makes better grades, but does not work hard at all, mostly in math. he sits back and does nothing he doesent even take notes or do home work (teacher never checks it any way) but he makes 120 on every test. I am in the same class and I take notes, do all the home work work realy hard at it and then make less than 80 on most tests. my family is always asking me why i cant be more like him. i have accomplished just about every thing he has and more but because he did it frist nothing i do matters. also he is 19 and has no idea what he wants to do, is working for a basic major (that means he can transfer later and have all his accademics done). he is perfectly happy to stay at home and go to a junk school while I want to go to a

My husband and I have been tyring for 6 months and we both have children from previos marriages but we cannot seem to get pregnant. It doesnt make since to me that it is so hard. I have been taking tests to know when I ovulate exactly and it still isn't working what is wrong.

This is the situation. I love her!!! with all my heart, but she cheated on me with her ex, around the same time we've had relations. when she found out she was pregnant she told her ex that it was his, and didnt tell me. Then when i found out she was pregnant i tought it was mine (before i knew she had cheated on me) I was really happy got a house a new car started working more and even quited school to have enought money to support her but then i found out that she had told her ex that it was his. I was really sad, her explanation was that she told him that it was his because she knew he wouldn't want it, and at that time she didn't want the baby either, but then when i found out that she was pregnant that she saw all the things i did for her and she decided to keep it. Were a young couple I'm 19 and she is 16 and we're going to tell her mom today. but honestly i don't know what to do. Is hard for me to trust her anymore, Should i tell her mom that the baby might not be mine??

I am not pregnant yet, but my boyfriend and I are planning to be engaged soon. Just for fun we try to think up names for girls and boys that we like. He always thinks of pretty girls names and then ruins his creativity by sticking a "Marie" or "Ann" as a middle name. I don't like names that are too freaky, but I like to extend my creativity into the middle name as well, and have never understood why Marie and Ann seem to be peoples middle name of choice. No offense to those who like it or have it as a name.

My daughter is 3. Does not know her biological father- he left when i was pregnant, stalked us afterwards- harrassed- then one night attacked me in the parking lot to my apartment complex and i wound up hospitalized. I have had a restraining order on him since and he lost his parental rights to our daughter due to his insanity. My husband has adopted her. She has a good life now. I received a letter from his mother a few weeks ago stating that he is dying and would like to get to know his daughter in the few short months he has left. She stated that he'd been through counseling and drug and alcohol rehab and is doing better and regrets the mistakes he made and asked for photographs of our daughter to give him. I wrote her back saying I wouldn't send photographs because the stalking would start again and that I didn't think a relationship was a good idea because our daughter doesn't know him. I feel guilty about it though, was I right? Or am I being selfish?
