Pregnancy & Parenting - 28 November 2006

I am on my 4th pregnancy, will be my 3rd live birth if all goes well and I have only ever done the on your back legs up position when in labor. With my first I knew no better and had not done any real research, and my second went so fast that I really had no time for anything else. I would like to know experiences from other women who have had babies and used different positions, why do you feel that it works well, and what positions would you recommend?

My wife is due in April but i want to get her something really nice to use as a diaper bag. I looked at coach and was not a big fan on the one that they have for sale on the website. My price range is 150-300 Dollars and I will not purchase one off of Ebay, does anyone know a great brand or can point me to a website with some great bags? What bags have you mothers used yourselfs?

I have a 9 year old daughter who is a couple of months away from being 10. I told her that I'll start considering it when she is 10. She is "oh so excited" (drama queen!) about being able to stay home by herself. I was just wondering...what's your advice/experience on the subject??? What are the laws nowadays about kids staying home by themselves?

I'm breastfeeding my 2 and half mo old baby and I'm planning to do so. We are invited to a party this saturday, I have babysitter, but - baby won't take the bottle! I have enough milk stored and I'm trying to get herv used to a bottle, but somehow it's not working out. It seems she doesn't know how to suck on the bottle - she can't latch on it. I tried different nipples too. She would go for hours screaming from hunger rather than take the bottle. What can I do??? Are there some special nipples resembling breast ('cause it seems the nipple is the problem - she cant put her mouth in proper position and keeps trying to suck wide open and kind of bites on it like it's breast...)?? Somebody had this problem? And what did you do? Please don't tell me to just stay home - if it's not now, eventually I will wanna get out for a day so I really need to figure this out.

P.S. She knew how to drink from bottle when she was newborn...

Myself I had a period straight after and then one a few weeks later, another 28 days after that and then one 42 days after that?

We have tried several different kinds of discipline. Restriction, extra chores, taking things away, but nothing seems to work. As he gets closer to being a teenager I worry that it will lead to other things.

The first day of my last period was Sept 29. me and my husband have been trying to conceive for 4 months. I missed my period in October, instead of a period i had tan/brown spotting for 8 days. The spotting stopped for 2 weeks and then i started spotting brown again for 7 days, the brown spotting just stopped yesterday. three weeks ago i did a pregnancy blood test and my HCG level was 1.5 and that same day i also tested for std's and i was clear. i have an appointment with the doctor on monday. i did another preg test 3 days ago and it was neg. has anyone experience this?? any ideas what this could be?

I personally like recieving the photocards, but I feel bad chucking them after Christmas, but I do throw them away if I am not close to the people. So I am thinking now that I have a baby that maybe a regular card with a photo inside might be more worth it because people throw away photocards. YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS WHOLE MATTER? Are the photocards not appreaciated? Do you think they are stupid or do you like to get them? Would you prefer a separate photo?

THis really drives me crazy, I just don't know what to do. The five minutes that I get on the phone to take care of something importnant like with the construction of our home he's whining and screaming about something. I just don't know what to do, I have to cut the conversations short and don't get to get what I need out of the conversation. It's really taking a toll on my sanity. What do I do I just want to smack him really hard but I just feel that's wrong. WHAT do I Do???!!!
He's only 3 by the way.

I am in my 6th week of pregnancy and just recently started getting pain in my right breast, kind of underneath it. Up until now, I have only had soreness/tenderness in BOTH my breasts, but this pain seems to target my right one...anyone else have something similar happen?!

I forgot my daughters lunch today and her teacher acted like it was such a crime-peeved me off for hours! I have subbed for her class with no notice,volunteered 3 days to help with special occassions and bought everything possible from their fund raisers and she wants to freak because the lunch lady has to make an extra PB&J sandwich.eeerrrr I cant seem to let it go and am hoping this helps me..thanks for listening

I just started taking the mini pill back on Nov. 12 & I also ask for a pregnancy test, it came back negitive. I been taking the pill EVERYDAY at the SAME time, so I've been doing good. Well, my last period was on Oct 23rd & I haven't had one yet, other then this light-pink spotty one for the last three days. I'm thinking that is must be from the pills.

Well, last night a friend of mine was nervous about taking her's so I told her I would take one too, since she had two in the box. Well, HER's was negitive & MINE was positive...

Can this be true of maybe just the pill is pulling my leg here?
